I feel like the devil's will get Quinn Hughes cause again devils have jack and luke it depends on what luke wants.
My opinion i would trade Dougie, Palat and 2nd round draft pick it would free up some cap room.
Luke is gonna get paid. Jack kinda got screwed because he had a ruff 1st 3 year so we got him on a discount. Thats way luke went to college to him more time to develop before he went into the NHL. I think he'll be 8.5-9.5 range, unless its a bridge deal. Then its gonna be 7×2-4. Probably closer to 2 to get dougie off the books. At that point he get over 10 mil

I believe the Hughes bro could be amazing together… They also could be the death of the devils as well. Long out look… How do you ever let one walk or trade just 1 in the future? Are the devils going to trade all 3 at once? Do we think they are devils for life? What happens when Jack's arm falls off? We should be thinking about future issues as well as present ones.
I don’t think it would be fair to ask Quinn to take a hike town discount. He’s the oldest and most established out of the 3. Plus if any group of players know that the NHL is a business over everything else it would be the Hughes bros.

Quinn is not moving from Vancouver for 2 years under his current contract
If Quinn signs in Vancouver, then Luke comes to Vancouver 2 years later. And jack 2 years after that.
I think we are underestimating the pull the city of Vancouver has over New Jersey if Vancouver turns it around this year. New Jersey needs a goalie starting 2026-27 more than another defensemen. IF we can get him in FA yes but the trade price will break this team and it will become another Karlsson situation in San Jose.
