Patrick Kane On Blackhawks Glory Days, Partying With The Stanley Cup, and Leaving Chicago

Today on the Stretch we are joined by Blackhawks legend, Patrick Kane. We start off the show by talking about 8/8 Day in Chicago and what it was like leaving this city. We tell stories from the Cup days when Big Cat was apart of the team for a day and Kane’s tribute and first return to the United Center. Kane talks about the amazing group he played alongside and how they all keep in touch now. We get into the powerhouse that the hawks were in the playoffs and being coached by Quenneville. Next we talk Four Nations, the Olympics, and Kane’s future in hockey. Kane tells us about living with Stan bowman and how Scotty Bowman was a constant source of motivation for him. Lastly we ask Kane about our favorite parade clip and tell our favorite stories with the cup.

  1. Most enjoyable Kaner interview for me. Not your standard question and answer. Good job, barstool Chicago 👏

  2. I want to say trading Patrick Kane away from Chicago was one of the biggest mistakes they've made in the last decade. That being said though, I don't know if we would have Connor Bedard on this team if he still was. Things turned out the way they did for a reason I guess, but I hope it's not too late for Kane to have his last year with the Blackhawks. KFC and staff need to make the right choice and sign him if he wants to come back.

  3. Hockey players just have mental health problems…only sport where you can fight and and refs are like yeah no big deal
