While Evan Bouchard’s contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers was reached prior to July 1st, many from around the NHL believed the Oilers were at risk of losing Evan Bouchard to offer sheet from the Carolina Hurricanes.

The rare people that make other things a priority are to be treasured… -in the case of Perry tho, we have nothing to complain about. He gave EDM a deal and everything he could for 2 yrs…29goals last yr… Edm gave him no promises or security. FL got lucky getting Marchand for playoffs, fuke, while EDM got Frederic.. that was the difference. When EDM signed Frederic for $32mil… (ups Drai to 14, Bouch to 10.5, Nurse 9.3, jCampbell 5… I think that tells Perry he was not a priority. Frederic pay is NUTS!!!
Also losing Kane, Brown, Arvidsson, jSkinner, Klingberg & Broberg, Holloway yr before…. team has no scoring depth. If LA had signed Marner- they would be favored… but they got Holland who squandered the money on Ceci… Dumoulin Armia & A.Forsberg…. older/slower so made team worse… that is Holland for you.
