  1. Well, yeah Sutter health Park IS a minor-league field. No question about that. But it's also a newer and more modern facility and aside of the amenities for the players, a baseball field is a baseball field. Players complained about Rogers Center when the "black pellets" used to come up when a ball would hit the artificial turf. Back in the 70's when multi-purpose parks were all astroturf and cutouts players complained, players got hurt, Philly at the Vet was prolly the worst those cutouts NEVER really fit the holes they were meant for and in the last year of the Vet I'm pretty sure a NFL exhibition game was cancelled due to those same cutouts. My point is 30 different places to play, none of them are identical or perfect. Now, that said, am I to understand that pre-fab buildings on wheels, with u-t-d training facilities and meeting places for both teams is NOT possible? Heck we have High School teams that have these buildings that used to be classrooms or locker rooms now used for meeting areas. If the rent at Sutter is "free" how are these not being utilized? Same with temporary stands for additional crowds that generate more revenue. I'm at a loss to understand why these things were not considered in January, February or March? Are these SAME field complaints issued by the Rays at Steinbrenner? I haven't heard of any, in fact quite the opposite, Steinbrenner is a much better faciiity than the Trop was according to players and other teams who visited there. No artificial turf and its outdoors. Granted their schedule is compromised understandably so, but I don't hear any complaints about where the Rays play?

  2. They didn't have a gentleman's handshake for San Jose with the Giants so baseball in the bay is cursed 😂

  3. On paper that would’ve made perfect sense but the 2 main reasons why it supposedly didn’t happen was because A’s fans and Giant fans are like Bloods and Crips, second reason was I had heard SF ownership was gonna charge Fisher skyhigh rent had this situation were to have happened so that’s why the A’s temporarily relocated to Sacramento. But for all the trouble they’re currently going through they should’ve stayed in Oakland till the new stadium in Vegas was completed.

  4. After the A's were denied San Jose by MLB the Giants actually offered Oracle as a temporary home. I disagree that is is impossible, challenging with the locker rooms yes, impossible no. They can create some temporary locker rooms someplace. It would really not be that hard. I don't think the Giants want to bend over backwards for Fisher though anymore.

  5. They took San Jose from the A’s, a minor league team and now the A’s would want share oracle. Shoot how much more do the A’s wanna lose, players will start disappearing next

  6. Sutter Health Field in Sacramento isn't an MLB park but the As should stop making excuses. Every night, an MLB team wins a game at Sutter Health Field. Just because it's not the A's doesn't mean it's the stadium's fault.

  7. The Royals submitted a 'term sheet' to Clay County, MO. Small news item, but may be significant if Clay County can meet the terms. So
I'm not trying to take away from A's news, I'm just sharing topical stadium news. And the A's left KC over a stadium deal.
