  1. I love this attitude. The whole idea of tanking is so lame. Build up picks and get better at the same time. That's the move

  2. Tanking is for the best possible draft position. It's not random and can only move back two spots. So it does work.

  3. Filling the wallet. One year contract in with a possibility to move it out at the trade deadline. And a set up for trading Karlsson. This is perfectly fine for the moment.

  4. The team is not tanking. The team will probably finish between 6th and 9th. They might win a playoff series; I doubit it, but it is possible. The team CANNOT win the cup.

  5. Kris Letang has been horrible for the last 3 years, so I do agree with Mike…. Once again I don't know what you've been watching

  6. The thing i want DUBAS to do…THE MOST……FIX THE D…I haven't seen it yet…in fact..I feel like it's being ignored

  7. Getting a 2nd for Dumba now and then most likely adding another pick at the deadline when we retain half the contract and flip him to a playoff team is great asset management. I don't know why anyone is mad or confused on this part by now. This is exactly what Dubas has repeated the plan was going to be the second the traded Jake. Build up the pool and either use those assets themselves or flip them for useable players.

This team has a chance to be better next year, in my opinion. Like you mentioned DK, similar roster to a team that showed promise but now also we have a completely altered coaching staff. Not just running it back with the same brain and hoping for different methods. We have actual change and fresh ideas coming, not to mention it's only July. There could be 5 trades by the end of the summer that severely change the outlook of our roster or prospect pool. We are not witnessing tanking, we are witnessing smart asset management.
