  1. suzuki worth 11mil? paid 7.5m, hard to sign someone very good for under 8mil to make him happy in the locker room.

  2. I couldn’t care less about the money these over aged, over paid children are getting. All pro sports athletes are terribly over paid. It’s only getting worse. When the caps go up so do the ticket prices.

  3. Problem is Gorton has already said publicly they arent looking to make a move that doesnt fit their core…….Im sorry 29 yrs old does NOT fit….does Gorton have to keep saying this every week?

  4. Hutson's contract will not be more than 7 years. The new CBA with the players has the max at 7 years now and no more going over the salary cap for the playoffs like Vegas and Florida. I don't think the Habs are looking for a young 2C, I think they see Hage or one of other prospects to fill than in a couple of years so a contract for 2 years for a veteran is not a bad idea. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!

  5. Depending on the situation with Laine and Matheson, the Habs likely have no additional cap space next season due to Hutson and Bolduc's next contract as they are RFA after this coming season.

  6. Its pointless to get all this "talent" if there is no room on the roster for them. Get rid of one excellent forward/defense for equally talented players? makes no sense. You have to develop these players and get them to work together. You can't do that if you're constantly filling the line up with "talent"? pick a squad and work with it for at least the season.

  7. I think the Habs are set for this coming year. Any trades will be at the deadline.
    Habs 2025/26 Forward Lineup:
    Caufield – Suzuki – Slafkovsky
    Bolduc – Dach – Demidov
    Newhook – Kapanan – Laine
    Gallagher – Evans – Anderson
    Extra: Blais

  8. McCann makes zero sense. If you are going to do that, you may as well just put Bolduc at center and ride it.

Enough trying to make something out of someone that's not a fit.

Get a legit 2C and be done with it. Enough trying to ram a square peg into a round hole

  9. Can't make the same mistake as the Laffs, cup first, then you get your big contract. Let's also not forget Gorton and Hughes don't decide to make the ticket prices so sky high. You can't blame them because they're not in charge. It's the marketing team behind the league, who we never hear from who charge us an arm and a leg, making sure that all kids are completely priced out.
