No real comment on the trade but, as an Oiler fan who was vehemently opposed to acquiring Kane, I was wrong. Kane owes the Oilers nothing. I have not heard anything that indicates he was a problem in the Oiler's locker room these past few seasons. I hate to see him go and I wish him the best. Finally, he was neutralized somewhat in the Cup Finals by poor officiating. If he deserved the penalties he received, and I can agree they were penalties but, that being the case they were numerous calls that should also have been called against Florida but were not. How Bennett got away with what he got away with is inexcusable.
So much respect for Bob Stauffer for giving his honest and glowing praise of Evander. Kane is a unicorn because he is a true power forward. He can hit, he plays hard with grit, he goes into the corners, he is a fast skater, heās never takes shifts off and he can fight with the heavyweights, and he can score and sticks up for his teammates and he does lots of charity work. Hes the very definition of a power forward. No one else in the league that has his attributes except Tom Wilson. Wilson and Kane are true unicorns
The only guy who cost the Oilers the cups these two years is NOT Kane. It was mcdavid. If Mcdavid showed up for game 7 last year and showed up this years finals, the oilers would have 2 cups.

I was concerned about the locker room, it sounds like he has matured (like we all do) but he could very well be exactly what the Nucks need. Insiders have long known he is hands down the toughest guy in the league. He is also a smart player that plays better with smarter players. He could be could be a magic elixir for the team…He has one year left on the contract – it sounds like a good opportunity for the team. and him. I love Boesser, but Kane he has the potential to do everything Brock does and more. Lets hope he can stay healthy.
