  1. Why makes no sense we already had him with no playoff appearances. He coached Edmonton which last time I checked are back to back 2nd place finishes. No trophies for 2nd place. I bet we get bounced in first round.

  2. He isn't going to have the most dynamic player in the world to work with on the power play any more. That said, what I want to see is a faster and tougher team, we lose to many battles when we are in the all important games against the best teams that at this point consistently beat us. I believe this requires a mentality shift from the dressing room and on the ice in practice. We will see what happens. Yet, regardless of the controversy on this one; if The Dallas Stars have made the decision to hire Gulutzan as the next head coach we all need to get behind our man!

  3. I really like this hire actually. People arent going to and thats ok, you can hop off at this stop. I would like to get Neil Graham behind the bench as well, but Gulutsan feels like the right person for the job at the moment

  4. I'm not even on board with this choice. The guy in 4 seasons as a HC for Dallas and Calgary he never won more than 45 games and missed the playoffs 3 times and got swept his only appearance. He just doesn't give me any hope or excitement at all. Plus running it back with Benn and Dumba yet without Marchment is just laughable. Another 45 win team at best.

  5. I wanna see this team get over the hump of the WCF and past the Edmonton Oilers right now they’re our boogeyman. I think this guy is what the Dallas Stars need right now sounds like he’ll bring a lot of positive change including a better power play system and offense.

  6. lol. Joeys photo in the thumbnail says he doesn’t have much faith in this decision to me. That photo says “wtf”… I laughed when I saw it. Good stuff lol

  7. The biggest issue for this team is the culture and attitude. Nill thinks we can win the cup with the team how it exists now. The way the culture is now. The players outlook in post game interviews the past many seasons tells me they are OK with being the 3rd or 4th best team. There is no frustration, there isn't any sense of urgency. Nill resigns Jamie Benn who is supposed to be the Captain and leader of the team and helps establish the culture (been the captain for many years – no cup). Nill resigns no grit and no toughness Matt Duchene. Trades Marchment who has grit & toughness. And now we are in salary cap hell and we hire a coach who likely will not change the existing culture. Don't get me wrong. I like Nill as a GM but he is not seeing the big picture. This team will struggle this year after this week's trades & signings. No doubt about it. We will be taking a step back.
