The Vancouver Canucks took care of business with their two remaining RFAs today as they signed both Jett Woo and Nikita Tolopilo to new deals.

  1. It's great news for the Canucks. Jett Woo came in as the best defensive defenseman rookie and has continued to advance his skill levels. And it's a natural advancement in goalie. He wasn't far behind Silovs in the net as far as I was concerned.

  2. One pick after Jett Woo, Montreal selects Alexander Romanov. 354 NHL Games, signed a brand new deal with Islanders

  3. I like Jet, but think he is in a bad place. I think he is slightly slow for the NHL and is just outside of making it. He could not saying he can't. He is close and Tolopilo looks better all the time. I think our goaltenders all look promising.

  4. I feel a little sad that most people seem to be writing Jett Woo off as a possible NHLer. His first couple years at the AHL really did not go well (remember he was used as a fourth line forward one year?), but the last three seasons he seemed to have found his footing. He probably will not become a top four D-man ever the way he has progressed, but I personally would love to see him carve out a role to be an in-between player at least…
