Brandon Carlo TRADED to Toronto Maple Leafs

a big trade between two Rivals the Bruins send Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Maple Leafs the Toronto Maple Leafs get Brandon Carlo 15% retained and the Boston ruins acquire Prospect Frasier Minon a 2025 fourth round pick and a 2026 conditional first round pick starting on Toronto’s end of the deal Brandon Carlo is a big right-handed shutdown defenseman he doesn’t provide much offense one goal nine points on the season but he’s incredibly steady in his own end and will definitely provide Toronto with some insurance he brings over 70 games of playoff experience and was on an incredibly fair deal with the Bruins with the 15% retention he’ll be making $3.85 million for the next three seasons for Toronto and with the rising cap I absolutely love that cap hit for a shutdown defenseman of his caliber for years now Toronto has been in need of right-handed shutdown defenseman and Brad sh living has absolutely changed identity of this team from the highflying offense that struggled defensively last year to one of the best defensive teams in the League this season this Decor now includes Morgan Riley Chris tanv Oliver Eckman Larson Brandon Carlo Jake McCabe and others battling for the sixth and seven spots looking at Boston in the deal they get a pretty good Hall back a first round pick in 2026 is very solid the fourth round pick on top of that and Frasier Minton minton’s a young centerman in the miners right now and he’ll probably end up up being a third line Center for Boston Boston did a good job selling today other than the Maran trade and I think this is a win-win deal for each team but how exactly will this deal help the Leafs we will see in the playoffs let me know your thoughts on this deal in the comments who do you think won and I’ll see you guys in the next one
