It was recently announced that New Jersey Devils’ play-by-play announcer Bill Spaulding will depart MSG. Longtime ESPN radio host Don La Greca will now replace him. La Greca also served as the backup broadcaster for the New York Rangers, and is also a New Jersey native. The news shocked many people. For everyone crying this is a upgrade don will bring the heat and a totally different element, not saying bill was bad but voted bottom 5 in announcement team is not a good look
Bill seems like a solid person and I wish him luck but I'm fairly sure this will be an upgrade to the broadcast, looking forward to Dano and Don.
As for Fitz… I get the market as a whole is slow right now but he needs to be more proactive get Luke's contract done and then move on from Palat quickly so he can start working on the follow up move to put the finishing bow on our forward core before all the good bows are gone (not a lot of physical top 6 wingers/ cup contending 3Cs on the market).

What are people so upset about? Bill was okay, but let's not make him out to be Doc. My complaint about Bill was that he talked too much. The secret to this gig? Let the game breathe. Let the vibe of the arena be felt. That said, LaGreca has always professed love for the Devils. The fact he was doing Rangers work means nothing. He's a broadcaster. You Take the work that's available. This is a great move and I wish Don the best. Its great to be able to land your dream gig. And finally for Trey, dude, stop talking like 30 is OLD. Come talk to me when your 60! Love your reports, bro.
Bill Spaulding had the pulse of the fanbase and the organization. I will miss him. You did great Bill!
