As a big Vegas fan, I'm thinking of Eichel-Marner
and Hertl-Stone pairings on the top 2 lines. They should prove very effective. Misfits Wild Bill and Reilly add yet more quality depth on the 3rd line. I anticipate strong seasons from wingers Barbashev, Dorofeyev, and Saad. Kolesar will anchor the 4th line. If goaltending and the blueline come through, then Vegas should be a serious cup contender.😮

No pun intended but this is a huge gamble for vegas. If there is anywhere they need scoring it's in the postseason and they just went all in on marner who is known for the opposite of that

I am a VGK fan and a Las Vegas native fan. I was shocked that Marner got traded to the VGK, but I feel that he will fit in here! The VGK fan base is more positive than in Toronto!

Gotta love him immediately signing a team friendly deal the SECOND he's out of Toronto (yes, 12m a year for max term for a player top 5 in pts is team friendly with the cap going up). Hard not to hate the guy with how much of a pissbaby he (or his "camp") was/were from the moment the first big contract extension began.
For that matter, what other player in the league has a "camp"? When was the last time you heard about MacKinnon's "camp", or McDavid's, or Draisaitl? The closest you get is the Tkachuk's because Keith is pretty vocal, but that's it. Yet with Marner, every discussion involves the jackasses surrounding him and whispering in his ear like some kind of corrupt court vizier from an Arabian fairy tale.
What gets me is the narrative that there wont be a spotlight on Mitch in Vegas, He is getting his wish, hes going to be the main character in this teams story going forward and he better play up to expectations or he will get shot out of a cannon just like Patches , Flower and many Vegas main characters before him. he is 100% going to have the spotlight on him even more so than in Toronto because he has no Mathews to lean back on
