  3. Hughes has absolutely cooked in the past year

    Harris = Laine + 2nd

    Barron = Carrier

    Heineman + 2 1sts = Dobson

    Mailloux = Bolduc

    Only mulligan was Kovacevic for a 4th but

    Other than that just absolute genius

  4. Bolduc's advanced stats are very impressive ! Potential 35 goals scorer here. He will become a fan favorite quite soon. Grit, speed and a killer release in the slot !

  5. To simplify, we basically got Dobson and Bolduc for Mailloux and Heineman.
    In the end, both players (Dobson/Bolduc) are superior to what we gave up.
    Excellent asset management by HuGo & Cie.

  6. Heineman is a stud…watch him progress with a top 6 chance. Bolduc has better hands, and is a similar type of player, just not as quite as big or fast. Bolduc is a season younger, and from Quebec.

  7. I have a top-6 suggestion that can help the future :

    Laine – Suzuki – Demidov
    Caufield – Dach – Slafkovsky

    For the bottom 6, I do not know. I've heard a few words from Russia that Kuznetsov could be coming to North America, so maybe :

    Anderson – Kuznetsov – Gallagher
    Newhook – Evans – Bolduc
    Blais

    Matheson – Dobson
    Guhle – Hutson
    Xhekaj – Carrier
    Struble – Desharnais

    Yes, I have Deharnais for Price + NDJ 4th 2026 to offer some depth.

    Monty
    Dobes

    Kahkonen in AHL.

    Could this work??

  8. Why do you think Mailloux would be at play with 16 + 17? It’s more likely that the offer was Mailloux + 16 or Mailloux + Heineman but that the Islanders wanted 16 + 17 + Heineman. To think that Mailloux’s value is lower than Heineman is odd. We turned him into Bolduc so clearly his value is higher than Heineman because Heineman wouldn’t be traded straight up for Bolduc.

  9. Bolduc is fast and physical, he could turn out as a less dominant and more civilized version of Brad Marchand. That would be perfect.

  10. St.Louis has an older D-core that can help Mailloux make the jump. Bolduc looks like a good fit, nice to have a guy who lives in the slot. The team is shaping up well.

  12. Listen I've seen Bolduc once but just looking at his stats, age, size you could see the uptrend and similarity with JJ Peterka. Peterka being one year older and started in the NHL at a youger age.

  13. With the Kirou rurmours, i think the Blues really liked Mailloux and were looking for another Big Right D. He's physical, big shot… they probably think they can teach him and raise his hockey sense and decisions.

  14. Bolduc was awsome here for st. Louis. I cant believe we let him go. Im really unsure about this trade, the Canadiens got a really good player. From a STL fan😢

  15. Oh Marc-Antoine not you… that narrative is silly, they did not use Mailloux in that trade to replace Emil Heineman at all.
    That was dealt afterwards when they got Sammy Blais. Bolduc is a second line winger any day, they got him to bring the 5on5 2-way profficiency, scoring and playmaking they unfortunately could not get out of Paddy Laine to improve the team overall and provide a much better support for Demidov in the same time. Bolduc is a long term improvement over a potential Kyrou, not a 4th wing Heineman.
