  1. They had no choice they had zero deals to replace his goals. They did not improve but they did not get worse

  2. I'd like to see Sasson, Karlsson, and Bains get playing time, ideally together. Not sure who they could replace, other than Aatu Raty. Thoughts?

  3. If it is so hard to acquire quality players, Bettman needs to stop all plans for expansion!

  4. I don't think I agree with the Demko signing, and definitely not the value either. He's proven that we can't count on him to stay healthy for more than 30-40 games a season, and that's not worth $8M 😢

  5. MacIntyre is a tool, someone should tell that dipsh*t it’s AAV, not AVV. Vancouver has the worst media, besides Donnie of course. And yeah it’s hard to get guys to play in Van & the available players are mostly meh but hard not to be disappointed when you’re running back basically the same team plus Kane & a new coach after that kind of year. Why didn’t they spend the Kane money on a 2C if you’re bringing everyone back? Even if you have to make a deal to get it done, address a need at least. Now the odd man out is Suter, who outplayed most of the team last year. Seems stupid to me but I guess that’s why I’m sitting here lol

  6. Bessor / Demko are very selfish. Panthers players took a discount / what happens when both cant play enough games / win enough games w their respected contract.???????? They better get some musle help.. What a horrible waste of money.

  7. Big thumbs up to Bowser and Demko for wanting to stay and re-sign! This is all about keeping Quinn Hughes happy! Keep the guys he knows and likes playing with, see who else is available and keep on trying to make the team better. There will be an infusion of youth from Abbotsford……let's see what happens! Happy Canada Day to everyone!!

  8. NOBODY wanted to come here
    NOBODY!!
I can't stand Canucks Management but they really had no choice today
They had to resign Brock and Demko
Lankinen wouldn't be able to take us past round 1
They are betting on Demko to stay healthy
They still need a 1C…Wish they still had Miller

  9. Miss the playoffs again in 2026. Abbotsford Canucks are better than the Vancouver Canucks. Especially the goalies.

  10. Nothing wrong with bringing back their fan-favourite scoring winger who obviously wants to be here and their top goalie, who, if not for injuries, he'd have a Vezina. Plus Garland is the heart and soul of this team. All these signings make sense. They didn't have to mortgage the future or trade away their first rounder. They added Evander Kane, they have a couple rookies who should be ready for prime time (Raty, Bains or Karlsson).

  11. Petey, demko,
Boeser, all trash… best Canuck fans hop on that Oilers bandwagon … W team … also when is that Canuck rebuild coming? ā¤

  12. What 2nd line center was out there, was wanting to come to Van, and wasn't outta pocket? Who and where are all these great available #2 centers?

  13. Concerned about other teams like the kings. Anaheim. Even Seattle oilers have some work to do to compete again. Vegas hasn’t slowed down. I know it’s early but Canucks still have a lot of work to do

  14. As people, it's nice to resign these guys (Boeser, Demko, Garland).
But all they're really doing is re-signing the team that struggled last year, and has made the playoffs once in recent memory. I think the Canucks miss the playoffs again next year.

  15. It takes time to get a surge of developing players from a well run AHL franchise and the Canucks are now getting there. The Canucks have invested a lot in setting up Abbotsford with the draftees and signings and excellent coaching required to start the flow of well prepared players into the NHL roster. the Abbotsford Canucks have several 2-3-4 year pros that can play in the NHL (and have). They are ready to play and organizational depth just keeps improving.I think the Canucks management definitely knows what it is doing—and long term success will follow.

  16. Demko is now paid as a top-5 goalie. He better play as such so for the duration of his contract, if not it will be massive anchor on the team.

  17. Brock took less money to stay in Vancouver and through all the disrespect towards him he still wanted to stay. You gotta love players like that.

  18. The depth in the NHL isn't very deep right now. Everyone is trying like mad to retain their own players because free agency isn't what it used to be.

  19. "you won't believe what we got offered for brock"

at the time, I thought it was a scummy thing for a GM to say, but in the end it worked. no one really threw around max term and mega bucks for him like he figured, so he had to take a million less than the original offer to stay 🤣

  20. Theres certain destinations that nobody wants to go to. Vancouver is one along with edmonton calgary winnipeg and to a lesser extent ottawa. Vancouver has and always will be a destination nobody wants to go to thats the reality .

  21. I've seen this team give up on good players who could have helped them be great. Bowser and Demcoe both are solid players who have more left in them. Inflation will eat away at their cap hit as years progress. Totally makes sense. Last year their D was the real problem. If Foot implements a more dynamic system to take advantage of the skills of his talent this could be a fun season. The big names are in their prime, they know how to win, and they have young, energetic players coming up to bring energy and support. Overall I think it's a good mix for next season

  22. Hope Brock builds up some armour, not worried about speed just health,, such a sik sniper
