K Miller will be very good for the Cane's. The real question is would he have been really good for NYR. I think the answer was no so good move in my book.
Drury broke a successful team and yesterday was a good step towards repairing the damage. Yes, he had a good day, but I don't see this team being much better than last year. There are still way too many holes in the lineup and lots of guys need to get back to previous production. At best, they're a playoff contender, but Stanley Cup material, not a chance.
They made 2’confrnce finals not like they were terrible, it’s the right move pivoting and retooling. A good first half hopefully leads to additions and a subtraction at deadline. Mika goes west and Crosby comes to NYC
With all these moves the big question is who will be captain next year.

The salary cap is indeed going up. However, that doesn't mean Miller is worth what he's getting.
Letting Schneider play hurt was a sign of just how bad their D was. Playing Jones shows that depth was almost nonexistent.
The fault last season laid with Lavi/Housley,players playing defense, not Drury.Still needs to trade Soft Mika.
I watch Rangers hockey closely and they were so bad on defense with K-Poke by far the worst followed by Fox who really needs to bulk up!

Drury cooked his own future. This team is not gonna rebound despite being 2 yrs removed from the best record. He will get fired. 😢
Overrated team that benefits from a hall of fame goalie isn’t the GM’s fault it just part of the process. Miller was our best defensive player last year. That’s how poorly the whole team played. He was the scapegoat of msg 25. It’s a gamble to deal him or keep him.
Panarin needs to be traded asap this team is know where near good enough to win the cup between Florida and the canes and caps we suck. Also Panarin will leave for the panthers to play with bob and win a cup with him bride he retires
2023-24 the Rangers top 6 all had career years…tough to match that level of play accross the board. Combine that with piss-poor effort and terrible D and you get 2024-25 results. Team needs grit and sound defense to contend for playoffs. Stanley Cup…NO CHANCE.

As for any player on the NHL you have to earn the high salary and it will reflect on your play did i feel Laff earned the raise he received NO, that was money thrown out the window that should be given to a player worthy of it. Disappointment after this past season of a team not playing because they are unhappy with management that is crap, they want to get paid they have to play or get traded and that is what Drury did. My wife knows nothing about Hockey players but she understands Center ice Red Line ( icing), and the Blue lines (offsides) and she always states Professional sports is all the same athletes getting paid millions and don't show up and it's not all players but still.
K. Miller is too stiff of a player and he always depends on his reach to correct his lack of playing his position and no one corrected him. As for what Drury commented on Miller his statement is straight out fact that he wants to get rid of a player that in his eyes doesn't fit what he is putting together.
Keep Panarin if he loves New York City that much he will take whatever management offers and why not no one will pay a player at that age that kind of money unless the player will promise to score 50 goals each season.
Miller has had no snarl in his game since his suspension for hocking a loogie on Marchand. I think they medicated him because he was never the same guy.
Rangers are old just like the pens.. but the rangers do have a great goalie.. Sullivan will ruin him.

The issue with Artemi isn’t limited to his age, cost or trade value. Unfortunately, he sucks when it matters most, … he disappears in the playoffs.
Ask 10 for his trade teams now. Move him at the deadline if we are losing. 10m+ for him is nuts. A Tavares deal is more likely. 4/7m.
Drury didn’t trade Miller. They were guaranteed compensation as he was an RFA. Drury had nothing to do with the return. Rangers are worse than they were last year. The difference between Gavrikov and Miller is not much and Kreider is gone. Laf is still here and will be a massive AAV going forward. I don’t get the plan.
