On a good team, Connor Garland is a 3rd line guy

  1. Vancouver sports writers are such idiots!! Any idiot can burn down a house. And that's what sports writers do, just throw shit around like monkeys.

  2. Love Garland but I would rather have Guenther and would’ve from the get go. I never thought they should’ve made that trade.

  3. He’s wrong! Garland may not be a top line player but with his puck control management and timely scoring he’s definitely better than almost any 3rd line player.

  4. Idk man maybe look at how jim benning has handicapped this team for another decade signing oel. What you expect this new management group to do? Just undo all his mistakes in a couple years? No

  5. Wow this guy can take anything good and find something wrong with it every single time he whines and complains. This dude needs to get laid but then again I'm sure he'd find something wrong with that too

  6. How r u complaining about a 50 point guy, if this was talking about a 30 point guy I get the whining.

  7. ā€œHe’s consistently a 50 point guy and the going rate for that kinda guy is 6mā€ so what the fuck are you complaining about man. It’s a modest increase from his last contract and he has gotten better… what’s there to complain about?

  8. That is what Garland did 2 years ago (played in a great 3rd line on the Canucks, and they won their division)

  9. Garland is an energizer bunny, and he never takes time off. He just fights every shift. We need guys like that. Brock is looking for $8+ million, plus term, and Brock has had injuries, blood clots etc. I've got no problem with Garland at 6×6, on the third line. We need all four lines firing. He can also step in to the 2nd line when needed. There's nobody on that team that fights harder every shift than Garland.

  10. He just was a top scorer for team USA in the world championship. So what's your point? He's everything we need. Boeser although decent scorer he's not hard to play against. He's a poofster if you ask me. That's why the Canucks can't trade him

  11. Isn’t/hasn’t he been a 3rd line guy for Vancouver though? Did Joshua-Blueger-Garland not happen under Tocchet?

I’m actually hoping for a Canuck 3rd line of Kane-Joshua-Garland in 2025-26. But, Vancouver being Vancouver, they’ll probably have Garland and Kane in the top-6 at RW.

  12. We should all be NHL players. At the very least we will quadruple our pay just sitting on the bench. For reals !? Yes, for reals !

  13. He's a middle 6 winger who can be a great compliment on a 2nd line, or drive a 3rd line on a cup contender. No issue with the contract especially with the cap rising.

  14. Pull your head out of your ass Faterson.
I dare you to go tell Garland he's only a 3rd liner. If you're such an expert you would have noticed him playing in the top six. I have a much bigger problem with the contract they gave Joshua.

  15. Well Vancouver allowed Suter to walk and resigned Brock. Both have same amount of goals last season. Guess which player is in a higher demand.
Vancouver isn't going to make the playoffs again because they refuse to take the right steps and let certian players just go.

  16. Garlund is a top 6 on a Stanley cup team. Maybe he’s sees the third line to give them some juice but not for long.
