  1. Kadri or McTavish. Make it happen. Kadri good hands and gritty. McTavish is solid, mature and reliable

  2. If he had success with Demidov at SKA St Petersburg, and Demidov wants to play with him, and Kuznetsov is a Center who did well in the NHL, and if he wants to play for the Habs….Why is Kuznetsov not a fit? I don't get it. Help me out here Jesse. 🙂

  3. Maybe a Kyrou trade will be part of a three team personnel flip…Kyrou etc to Ducks, Matheson etc to Blues, MacTavish to Habs?

  4. Kadri would be a bonus. Especially when playing the Leafs. That team did him dirty. Poetic if we meet Toronto in the first round. All that much sweeter when we sweep em’

  5. Unless the return blows the doors off I’d rather wait until the deadline or close to it to move him. Wait and see how Dobson turns out first. It might be a bust there. Then we’re down two minute men.

  6. The source is Marco D'Amico who is an excellent source. This guy double confirms his stuff and just doesnt put stuff out there for clicks.

  7. I have a feeling management isn't even looking for a 2C, I bet they're looking for one of those play driving wingers that management was talking about.

I believe that management believes Hage is their future 2C with possible 1C upside. I think that rather than rushing to get a 2C and overpay for one, they're going to play the waiting game, either for Dach to succeed, Hage to make the team, or both.

So to me a guy like Kyrou makes a lot of sense from a buying standpoint, from the Blues standpoint it doesn't seem like a smart move. Kyrou is a guy you do everything to keep imo.

But if he is available for whatever reason, Habs are more likely to be on him than a 2C.

Regarding Kadri, I'd love to have him but he's getting old and would cost too much considering the possible risk.

Like I said, I think an elite winger is their real target presently. Robertson, Kyrou or somebody like them. That level of player. Problem is most teams want immediate impact players for those guys.

  8. Dach, Newhook and 2nd rounder for kadri. And if Laine has no future here, Dach and Laine for Kadri. Maybe add Roy if they are interested.
