Could the San Jose Sharks find their next scoring sensation? The hunt for offensive firepower intensifies as the team explores trade targets and free agent options to bolster their roster for the upcoming NHL season.
JD Young analyzes potential trade candidates, including Evan Rodrigues from the Florida Panthers and Nick Robertson of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Rodrigues’s playoff experience and Robertson’s efficiency in limited ice time make them intriguing options. The discussion extends to Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Isaac Howard, a high-risk, high-reward player who could make an immediate impact.
Free agent possibilities Jack Roslovic and Victor Olofsson round out the analysis. Young breaks down Roslovic’s 22-goal season with the Carolina Hurricanes and Olofsson’s potential as an under-the-radar signing who could outperform expectations with the Sharks. The episode also touches on the Sharks’ willingness to move a defenseman for forward help, exploring options like Mario Ferraro.
Tune in for detailed player breakdowns, contract discussions, and insights on how these potential acquisitions could reshape the Sharks’ offensive landscape in the coming NHL season.

Ride what we got. Get McKenna and go for the big fish next FA
fun and frisky becomes funner and friskier if they get either McKenna or Keaton Verhoff in the 2026 draft.
Sharks have a good number of players who ought to get an NHL shot. Giles, Ostapchuk, Lund, Cardwell. Also, Regenda and Afanasyev. That's without the young rookies getting games like Chernyshov, Halltunen, Bystedt or Musty. Would like to see some of these sorts on a 3rd line with Wennberg. Isaac Howard is tempting, though he's also smaller. Not seeing the need for immediate impact.
As tempting as it might be to get these players, just not feeling the need for a move here. That said, Olofsson makes the most sense, especially as you point out, he's possibly tradable at the deadline.
