  1. Mike smith, Billy smith any other goalie who didn’t put up with shit in his crease cause skinner needs to ground and pound more

  2. As coach's DO NOT COUNT AGAINST THE CAP they can bring in more than one coach maybe for different aspects of the job. Just a thought.

  3. No Cap – no nbr 1 goalie – $20 million for 2 “D” THAT ARE NON D – oil screwed themselves by panicking on the offer sheet – bouchard only has a shot , mediocre other than shot in O zone – & 3 other D men will be UFA IN A YEAR _ GOOD LUCK WITH KEEPING McD

  4. It's about time Schwartz is gone. I'd still like to see the team bring in another goalie. But, let's see how a new coach works out.

  5. Hyman can't play anymore ROFL if he could, he wouldn't have resorted to throwing the body around during pivotal moments in the 2025 post season. He would've scored GOALS

  6. 1:48 It’s interesting the Oilers did not give Olivier Rodrigue, who had gotten limited action at the NHL level in regular-season and postseason play, didn’t get a qualifying offer while Cayden Primeau, who last season had played in quite a few regular-season games, having been a sieve in most of them, did. The Flames, Oilers & Jets, among Canadian NHL teams, last season had such remarkable goalie health that I can’t think of any of those teams having, after last preseason, but up to and including last month, used more than two goalies who got ice time in actual games.

  7. Goaltending has been an issue for a long time until the goalies go to different teams. Swartz gone is a start and a coaching team for goaltending and development would help. Good news on Hyman

  8. I'm glad they dumped Schwartz. Now we'll see Skinner stay the same AHL goalie that he is no matter who is coaching. Then maybe the dummy Oilers fans will realize that Skinner is the problem.

  9. Crossing fingers that Hyman comes back at beginning if regular season!! I felt bad for him missing the end after he was a huge part of getting us there.

End of an era seeing schwartz go, but i think it was overdue. Some good possibles, dont know them well enough though to pick who would he the better choice.

  10. They need to go a full department. A director. Several assistant or sub section coaches. They have the money and they really havent given skinner the best opportunities to develop so far. Maybe even keep things fresh by bringing in guys forna short stint to work on one specific thing.
