brad Mar Brad how does it feel to be a Stanley Cup winner now with the Panthers It’s unbelievable This is uh I was so nervous before this game It’s the only time I’ve really been nervous this entire series Uh when it’s so close you can taste it and so many ups and downs um you know the last few years and moments where you thought it would happen and it doesn’t you just realize how tough it is and how you appreciate it so much more and I’m going to take every second of this in No doubt you arrive with the Panthers You don’t know that group you fought about with against them Why it was so easy for you to ch I think the biggest thing is the culture that this group has um it it makes it very easy to buy into what they’re doing what they’re trying to accomplish and you see it right away You know when you play against them you know it’s very difficult but when you’re in the room and you see kind of the plan that goes in place and and the way these guys believe in themselves and they trust their structure and they work and compete every day I mean it’s something you want to come in and just eye for And this is what you hope that you can always be part of as a player You know these teams are very few and far between but it’s a very special locker room At the same time you were able to score some really big goals and beautiful goals It was like you were 27 not 37 Where where’s that coming from I I just think the desperation um you know when you realize you’ve been through it before how few opportunities you have to be part of something like this you just want to give it everything you have And sometimes things go your way sometimes it doesn’t But what you know sometimes with this group you don’t always see the appreciation that we have internally for all the little things and the little details and the block shots and the hits and taking hits and um you know the simple sticks that that that’s what wins you games and and you know we had that belief in in their system and their structure uh you know and and we just made a habit A quick one for you because I don’t want to forget him You’re really close to Patrice Bgeron and you you were still talking with him and Patrice told me few weeks or if not months after the loss against the Blues that it was really really tough How how Patrice helped you uh in the last few weeks last few months Well I mean Murray’s always been my rock We we become so close and his knowledge and his vision is incredible Um and I always rely on him especially in moments where I don’t feel great about my game or unsure in how it feels certain situations at the ranker in the room And um you know I would not be here without Bergie There’s no question about that I have so much respect and love for him Grateful for his friendship Enjoy the party tonight Oh I will Brad Marshley National Foreign
