I know this is off-topic, but Montreal has a boatload of prospects. When are we going to start flipping some of our prospects for future draft picks……. Or multiple prospects for higher end prospects ………. I'm just curious about the organization's asset management strategy.

Like Pacioretty? 😂😂 first take I’ve heard from damico I’ve thought was delusional. Pacioretty was the anti Bolduc. No hockey sense, no grit and not good defensively. Being good on the PK with a clear assignment vs being a 2way guy 5 on 5 are different things
Can't be wasting Demidov's development and talent with Dach and Laine. Demidov deserves better. Don't do what Bergervin did to Carey Price. Last Friday, it was suggested on Real Kyper and Bourne show that Crosby may get traded after the Olympics to Montreal.
Please no with Kuznetsov.

If I'm Kent, Jeff, MSL… I think they should start the year with Bolduc-Dach-Demidov. We have absolutely nothing to lose and Dach deserves one more chance. It's obviously a make or break year for his future and we should give him an opportunity to prove he's up to the challenge. If he proves he's ready and performs, then not only do we have our near-term 2C solution without needing to give up anything, but he also increases his trade value in case we still want to package him with draft picks for something else to a team who's entering a rebuild/retool. This all gives Michael Hage the time he needs to develop and be ready for the 2C role long-term (because I actually think he's good enough to be our 2C of the future.)
If Dach can't prove that he's ready, then yes okay, we get more aggressive on the 2C front but for a stopgap temporary option while we wait for Hage. And please, no Kuznetsov… he's going to weigh Demidov down. He doesn't have the legs or the heart anymore.
If you want what’s best for Kirby and MTL. He needs to play Wing. Absolutely nothing in 6 years has indicated he can play C in the league.
The amount of chances he gets is tied to being a 3rd overall pick vs anything he has shown.
I will happily take Kuznetsov
If you’re Kirby Dach and you can’t beat out kuznetsov you don’t deserve the spot at all. He’s not young anymore.
I see it differently. Mctavish still hasn't signed and just declined arbitration. I don't think he'd like to see his role diminished and i dont think he will take a bridge or a discount at this point of his career. Anaheim doesn't have THAT much money they need to sign so many guys next season including Carlsson Gauthier Zellweger Mintyukov + at least 2-3 defensmen they only have one D signed for 26-27. I think there is a scenario on the table in wich Mctavish leaves and it if it's the case it has to be for Montreal. Id be willing to pay

The way I see it, Mactavish is a unicorn. A pure savage. If I'm Hughes I'm to part with Reinbacher, a future 1st, and Laine to make the Cap work.
In my opinion Hughes is not done and he will never be done building this team. We still need a 2C and trade Dach and some picks for one. I'd love for Dach to work out but he is not the one for a 2C position.

I find it amazing that anybody suggests that we would trade Slaf – our No.1 pick only 3 years ago – who’s impressed season on season and is firmly on our first line going forward. Ridiculous.
As a fan I am excited to see Demidov and Bolduc on the second line.

Kent Hughes is never done. He’ll always be in and around every available player. The question is whether there will be a good deal that he’s willing to move on. There will be no moves that affect the long term goal of becoming a perennial Stanley Cup contender.
