I was surprised, caught off guard by the team opting for arbitration with Bo Byum, who still is a Buffalo Saber on July 7th. And if you’re maybe you were on vacation for a couple of weeks and you unplugged and thought, “All right, let me see what the Sabres have done. Surely they must have traded Bo Byum away.” Uh, they have not. And now they are making a additional move decision with him. The player I guess gets first crack at this and the player decided no I don’t need it. I don’t want arbitration. And for one reason that I think we all discovered reading this situation and seeing like why the Sabres might have done this is now Bo cannot sign an offer sheet. And if he had opted for arbitration, he would have known that. So then it’s the sabers turn to decide whether or not they would like to do it. And they go ahead and say, “Yeah, we’ll do arbitration.” Which, hey, that can get ugly between players and between teams. But the Sabres, I’m sure, do not currently view this as a long-term relationship. They might think that any day, any minute, he’s going to get dealt. So, it’s a leverage play.
