  1. As long as they keep playing pur left wings on the right side ala lafrennire..and not have any right wing right hand shots….they go nowhere

  2. The Rangers also have a new coach who seems better at working with young players and getting the most out of his stars. I agree they must be a playoff team and are giving them the best chance but they aren't good enough to go all the way. But that's OK because chances are they are positioning themselves to land a big fish next offseason, perhaps with a good solid team with Shesterkin instead of the inconsistant Skinner backstopping might be enough to pry McDavid? Or more likely Eichel may sign who'd been linked to the Rangers prior.

  3. My move would be to get Perrault as much top 6 minutes as possible, focus on him being one of the guys to rely on, let him develop, and use this one season to let guys like him play and be relied upon, and the next season you make your big cup push. Zibanejad must be moved, I’d move him for someone like Jordan greenway on the third line.

I don’t understand Soucy in our top 4, it seems like the defense situation isn’t fine either. Be great to get a Byram type depending on how much cap we can free up

  4. Edstrom Carrick and Raddish can be a strong 3rd line not just 4th, I think we haven’t even scratched what Edstrom will be able to do.

  5. Mika isn't going anywhere, he made it clear he does not want to be moved and I don't think a buyout or waivers is an option for a player like him.
Laf is most likely to be traded if the Rangers make a big change in the TOP6 forward roster. Otherwise, this is probably the forward group they want and they want to add another defenseman.

  6. I just don’t see playoffs for this team. Unless they get some absolutely insane trades going, this roster at best is only marginally better than last year.

  7. pretty thin depth wise. And i am not so sure they are any meaner than they were last year which was not mean at all. i hope there are more moves coming, but honestly I don't know if this group has what it takes to make the playoffs next year. my expectations remain pretty low.

  8. Zibanejad isn’t going anywhere. He looked way too good playing with JT Miller after he came in. Mika has always been a streaky player and in a year that there were no good vibes he didn’t have any highs to run with this season. He’s gonna turn it around in a new year with a new, better coach

  9. Not mentioned in this video but the biggest difference personelle wise is absolutely getting rid of Lavi for Sullivan. The team had internal issues and Laviolette did an awful job at getting the team to put them behind them and rally. Now we have a great coach with 2 cups who should set them on the right track. This team is good, everyone had bad years last year and most should bounce back. Not a contender right now but they are definitely a playoff team and aren’t that many pieces away from contending

  10. C depth is an issue. Put Zibanijed at 3rd line C. The roster is a mess and needs a lot of GREAT coaching, and TIME to gel. They have a chance at being competitive if they can play great D combined with the best goal tending in the league.

Both Shesterkin and Quick got hung-out to dry last season by AWFUL team D play.

  11. He left D-man Matthew Robertson off the depth list. He definitely has as
shot. 6'4" 210, young, shut down guy, can skate. 24 years old.

  12. The entire team (other than Cuylle and Carrick) mailed it in last season. Sullivan will give everyone a clean slate. The players will have to put on their big boy pants and stop sulking about Drury finding ways to get rid of overpaid players.

As for the lineup, the 4th line is pretty set in stone with Edstrom/Carrick/Rempe. I don't see Raddysh supplanting Rempe, who steadily improved his game last season. Lafreniere needs to take a big leap this season, or he's officially a bust. He was dominant in the '24 playoffs, and started last season on fire…signed his new contract, and proceeded to dog it. That can't happen.
Schneider is definitely in the 2nd D pairing, most likely with Borgen. Soucy might be traded, but if not, he and Morrow will battle for the 6th D spot.

If Sullivan can develop the 3rd "kid" line, that would go a long way in turning the Rangers back into a playoff team. Still not good enough to beat Florida, though. Next offseason will be fascinating between the lottery for McKenna, and the McJesus sweepstakes. The Rangers will have cap space…..

  13. This team’s roster is very disappointing. They might make the playoffs but they certainly do not look like a Stanley Cup contender. Not excited about the upcoming season.

  14. Drury might be the worst gm of all time. Team one the presidents trophy a year ago and he traded pretty much everyone. He has made the team worse with every trade
