The St. Louis Blues have been linked to Buffalo Sabres defenseman Bowen Byram in many reports and rumors throughout the first week of free agency. Should the Blues trade for Byram? Is Byram a good fit? What should they trade away in return? Which other players should they target via trade to go above and beyond this offseason?

I hope u aren’t serious biram for kyrou bud mistake what a way to trash the progress they have made
Maybe schenn or neibors
NOOOOOOOOO to Erik Karlsson!!!!! EK doesn't "WIN" the off season. He can't play defense. I would not put Neighbours in a deal for an old crappy D-man. Maybe Byram. WE need to stick to the plan.
Didn't Buffalo trade him to Calgary
Is he legit effective on his off shot side? I know he's played on the right, but is he as good over there?
I think I'm with Alec. I didn't expect this team to be fully cooked this year. We have time to make moves. Forward depth can be a weapon. I'm not dropping Jakey Neighbors for an iffy Dman.
Ellis, a 3rd, and a future 2nd?? are you guys nuts? They have UPL, just signed Lyon to a 2 yr deal, and have Levi ripping up the AHL. What even is this?! And Byram isnt an established player? He was 5th in 5v5 scoring behind Werenski, Makar, Dahlin, & Q. Hughes, and was t-1st in u24 DMen in 5v5 scoring with Hutson. The reason he isnt thought of higher is bc he once again isnt getting PP time, and thus, PP points, like other top producing DMen. He has been a minus player once in his career and it was 2 seasons ago in his first szn in Buf and he was just a -1. He was a +11 last yr on a bad Buf team playing 22+ mins/game almost all at 5v5. So if he played PP mins he'd easily be a 50+ pt 24 y/o DMan.
No to Karlsson. I don't want a collection of sieves on defense.
No we dont want byram .. noway for what he brings and will get paid
Sabres elected to go to arbitration so Byram has the option to a 1 or 2 yr arbitration award…also eliminates an offer sheet
Keep the Chemistry they have with the new set of players they have on the roster.
Blues needed to upgrade in certain areas but feel the nucleus they have now and the future of youth and talent puts them in a good position. Armstrong has done a good job as GM and the future with Steen moving into GM position looks great!
So, you are OK with Byram being the highest paid defenseman on this team which means he HAS to be on the #1 D pairing. Which offensive player are you willing to part with to get him that will keep the team in cap compliance? Trading Neighbours, Ellis, and any draft capital wouldn't be enough to keep us under the cap. Another salary dump would have to happen. They won't have enough even with Krug's LTIR relief.
They would have gotten him by now if it was going to happen.
Fowler won’t be in STl after this season…this the Byram interest so set our D up for more than next year
