Denny discusses an idea for Kirill Kaprizov’s contract extension that will change the NHL forever. JeremyMcDude also joins to talk Iowa and what needs to change for Wild prospects to start taking strides in development.
Death is the most brutal teacher, it sucks but thats what it takes for leagues and organizations to make safety changes. Even in racing. Nascar took the death of the great dale earnhardt. Ever since sports betting blew up in ad revenue the officiating in pro sports has had massive issues. Crawford nba, nhl all of em last season. Nfl a lot of playoff games been decided on no calls or bad calls involving the saints most notably probably.
Denny, you bring up subjects that are so important, that nobody talks about , karprizov Is in the position to demand, nobody is talking about this awesome
Unfortunately we need to prepare for the fact Brodin will miss quite a bit again this season. Fresh off surgery for an upper body injury. I just do not have faith in his durability. It will, however; create opportunity for the younger kids…begrudgingly against Hynes' taste…
As far as I know Rossi is the only player on the NHL ROSTER picked by Brackett and Company. Not exactly great results percentage wise w picks making the show. Of course we will see what happens with this years crew. It doesn’t help Hynes doesn’t play youth. But still. Bracketts results aren’t that great.
The prospect pool is always ranked high but the development sucks.
Billy is dangling the wrong carrot (Rossi) I'd trade Ek, Brodin, and Spurgeon………..Until you move some of the long-time "beloved" players NOTHING WILL CHANGE…..Ek should fetch a great return. Spurge has been here since 2010 and Brodin 2012. Time to go. If you disagree, meet me back here in April I'll be the one smiling saying I told you so. 😃 Trading guys like Marat, Declan, Freddy and other bit players are nothing-burger moves by a GM pretending to play GM.
Kiril can play under contract this year…and put up ROSS TROPHY stats for the WHOLE YEAR…then can you imagine his price? be his agent is saying wait..Denny he doesn't have to say anything to Billy until after 2025/26 season…vested interest? sounds like the kid is fine during the season with Minnesota but this kid loves HIM HOMELAND…if he goes out like I said and puts up numbers this season? He can really tell BIlly what he wants.
Denny and Co., What you're conveniently leaving out while scoffing at all those previous "busts" is… the same media and fans who think MIN deserves something now, or claim "they know" are the same media and fans that praised all those guys and roasted GM's for even hinting they'd include a "high end" prospect in a trade package. They were all wrong then and for all we know, are completely wrong now. If you think GMs are dumb enough to not see a players skill over a season and think Hynes (or BG if you're a crazy conspiracy nut) relegating Rossi to the 4th line is what has "damaged his value", then hate to break it to you, it may be the one opposite of you in the mirror whom is the slow one. 🤷♂ There are scouts, coaches, GMs, assistant GMs, advisors, etc: Front offices are a team themselves, with countless people and hours invested in making decisions. Yall honestly believe GMs don't already know why Rossi was moved down to the 4th? Do you think they care? If teams aren't rushing to pay a guy like Rossi, its not because he got relegated to the 4th line for 5 games. Its about Rossi and his talent. Period. Same people pumping Rossi now and dumping on GMBG, were at some points pumping the Sheppards and Pouliots of the organization and praising GMBG on trading for Faber or Middleton and waiver pickups like Chisholm. Reality is, 60pts or not – its looking pretty clear, the general consensus is the league isn't buying Rossi as a 60+ pt guy. Right or wrong, that is the fact. Rossi is a bottom 6 guy that wont play a bottom 6 role and wants top 6 money. Only problem is, teams who can afford him like MIN, dont see him as a top 6 C, and teams that already have their top 6 Cs, cant afford to pay him what he wants to be in their bottom 6. Don't be fooled. This is a Rossi issue. NOT GMBG or the Wilds.
Vegas is the golden child, if they tampered they will give up their 8th round pick in next years draft. The reason the Wild signed Suter and Pairise to those god awful 13 year contracts was because there was no pipeline and fan interest was waning. It sparked interest again even if they were unable to make any serious push in the post season. Looking forward to next weeks show after free agency opens up this week as I do feel Guerin is ready to make Boeser an offer as well as some type of surprise move not on the radar. I saw Khnutsinov signed a two year $925,000 AAV with Boston. Good show boys, always a relaxing listen! 🎧
I woke up from a dead sleep I have figured out, how to get Kaprizov more involved THE WILD CAN HIRE KAPRIZOV AS A PLAYER COACH, YES IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE, NOT IN A LONG TIME BUT IT'S BEEN DONE, NOW THAT WOULD GET KAPRIZOV INVOLVED DENNY
Benoit Pouliot played 8 (mostly full) seasons in the NHL, but the Wild gave up on him early. He didn't make the NHL until he was 23. Some of the players you mention certainly were busts, and Pouliot at #4 was a joke but he was not useless.

Free agency is gonna suck this yr. Also its been brought to my attention not a single defenseman under 6' was drafted.

Denny, how well do you know Jack Carleson? I heard he's a great guy and did some referring.

Seth they are NOT going to the Cup Finals..he won't be playing hockey in JUNE 2026. He can extend then…as you have said that's 8 years.
tampering? with BOZO BETTMAN involved as commish..NOTHING WILL HAPPEN
Again with the refs Denny. It won't change until BETTMAN is gone. AS in out the door.
Great show guys!

I would say Kirill was the best pick in Wild history

Fans, what do you think?
I have No Trust In Bill G at this point.
Getting rid of scorers for defense is idiotiotic
I'm going to explain why it's such a good idea, on Monday night
