Why do we alway need players up front, they need defence and a goalie without that move they go nowhwre. Get rid of Kane, Bouchard, and a few others for a good goalies.
We have lots of wingers we need a centre and we need to establish the lines and leave them.
It’s the Oiler who decide when Kane plays, not the other way around. He needs to be a team player and if they want him to sit, than he sits.

Have to say. It's nice to see people finally coming around to what a defensive blackhole Evan Bouchard is.
I've been calling this guy out on videos for the past two years, but all people saw were his points on the backs of the PP, and better players.
I'm not trying to claim that I'm some hockey savant or prophet, I'm not. It's just how easily people mask the deficiencies of players, under particular performances.
Bouchard didn't "become" bad defensively. He's always been bad. I've call this guy the "turnover machine", for the past 3 seasons, but it's nice to see I'm not alone anymore.

I am also a total Matt Savoie fan, thinking that he will be a perfect Player for the Draisaitl line too. if Kane will get fit till the playoffs starts, i would like to see him on ice. You know what he is able to bring on ice, somebody new may be not. the new targets from the canadiens, tall and massive isnt the only thing we need, and if i look at the +/- score of McDavid at this point of time, OMG. i think we need to wake up Bouch and Nurse, train our goalies perfectly in order to have a chance in the playoffs, but right now i am thinking about reaching them! cheers from a dark cold german night…

Savoie should be in as well Philp. Too many passengers that are way too comfortable in their current positions. Bouch needs time in the press box to watch people giving a solid awake performance.
These oilers have been dog water. But Patrick’s oilers rundowns remain better than sportsnet pre/post games.

Savoie in. Take your pick as to who comes out. How awesome is Draisaitl? Think where he would be in the scoring race if he played with good wingers. He had one. Unfortunately, that player is now with St. Louis. Podkolzin has something like 5 goals. Arvidsson doesn't seem to fit in well with Draisaitl. Nuge with McDavid and Hyman. Skinner and Savoie with Leon. Keep those lines together. Don't mess with them! I want Kane back, but not until the playoffs. He's the team's only true power forward and he's capable of scoring as well. An all-around player. He's big and nasty to play against. Who, or what, would you trade him for? A lot of teams would like to have a player like that. No way would we get equal value because other teams would know, or think, that we're dealing from a position of weakness. Either of those Montreal players seem like they would be a good add. Still need to add on defense too. Emberson has yet to play a full NHL season. I think the wear and tear is starting to show a little bit. Klingberg not a top four d-man. Preferably, we could add a big, right shot, shut down d-man like Ekholm. We had a good player like that. He was a left shot but could play both sides. No longer with the team. I believe he scored an overtime winning goal the other night. Just saw a quick highlight. Please correct me if I'm wrong. really appreciate this vid and i was with you but then a thought popped up – kane has been sitting for almost a year. and we (as fans) want him to sit until Game 1 of the playoffs and then play like he's been playing the whole year. who can do that? and so the question is – is Kane at 1/2-3/4 speed for the first 2 weeks of playoffs (if they last that long) worth what we could get with his ltir? if im kane, i dont want to embarrass myself – i want to play a week or 2 before the playoffs
