Unless the Leafs can get a top 2 centre 25 yrs and younger he should be untouchable. My guess is Calgary is holding firm on Kadri and will only deal him to the Leafs for Cowan. I would trade Danford for Kadri though.

The same reject reporters who were shouting that Marner needs to go are now saying how big a hole he's left. To be honest the leafs don't need to replace Marners points they just need to find chemistry with someone who can consistently play top 6 minutes. The real thing here is the leafs top players like Mathews, Nylander, JT, need to be their best players. Looking at the defense I still don't think it's where it needs to be, Morgan needs to bounce back and it's the coaches job to figure that out. We need more contributions from the blue line if we're going to push forward.
I really hope Cowan gets a spot on the Leafs this upcoming season, stop trading away our prospects Tre! I'm still sour about losing Minty and Greb
They won’t trade Cowan. He is very similar to marner incredible vision and a bigger then marner . He also is a farm boy and has some dog in him . If he can be anywhere close to what marner is , with some more grit I think it will be a good success
