I agree, they're building a team, not just an ensemble of players who don't vibe.
Sure, you can have good vibes but on game 82 this is barely a wildcard team.
Tocchet was part of the "JT Miller problem". I hope he leads the Flyers to mediocrity.
What I don't like is that they are at the cap limit with too many players with trade protection. It'll be difficult to make improvements plus be cap compliant. Demko, Hughes, and Garlund have no trade protection this coming season. Those are your trade chips that other teams would be interested in if you want a player of value in return like a centre. And Demko and Garlund have trade protection after this season. The roster is too locked down at a middle of the road team in the standings. But that's all the fans and owners ever seem to want. A playoff contender.
The vibes are at an all-time high
My biggest concern is, we didn't get anyone to play with EP40. He didn't work well with anyone on the existing team. The only dude was Kuzmenko, but he resigned at LA. I don't understand how come it wasn't a priority to find a partner for your 11.6m guy who underperformed last year.
Tocchet,s style of play wasn,t working don,t know how it worked in the first place
My thoughts are that Legorocks, JP and Drance preached doom and gloom when they were all dead wrong
If the Canucks suck then whatever, we all probably saw this coming. But, if they somehow end up in the playoffs next April I'll gladly accept that I was wrong. First time in a while I have the opportunity to be pleasantly surprised rather than completely disappointed.
We’re a playoff team
Tocchet reighned them up soon as he got coach of the year in game 6 and 7 against Edmonton. He let them loose in the last 10 min.of the 3rd period in game 7 and they almost tied the game up . I think the players knew it too . They started that season as the best team after the first month and he started reighning them in with defence . He hobbled them .
Bro, in all honesty.. WE ALL BELIEVE
And this upcoming season will be very, very interesting.
IF Demko playes 42 games we will have 26 wins plus Ot 4 points. Lankenen plays 40 games we will have 25 wins 110 points migth be what we need for post season. Krebs or McTavishor Byram could be post season reason for Canucks. How to get them ?????
100% Tocchet quit on the team.
Yall are happy bout this offseason?? 😭
No one talks about Karlsson. How does he not make the top 9 roll next season. The guy had 26 pts in 24 games to help win a calder cup.
Quit due to Canadian taxes…. cmon, tell the truth….. you get a 3mil deal, you take home how much? less then 1.5? i would say, see ya later! coach or player…..
The last time there was a vibe was when Bo was captain and they were just starting to gel
Vibes…
Yeah vibes are great until the season starts and the truth hits
Kanes locker right next to Patterson
I like what they've been doing, solid draft, good pipeline of goaltenders, Demko for now, Silovs on the upswing after the AHL playof MVP, they got the 17 year old kid who could be a good backup in a few years maybe Silovs takes the reigns then. Braedon Cootes might have to wait a year to see the ice. Getting Boeser back was big. Got dudes who want to be here. All they need is Peterson to get back to what he was and a healthy Kane the canucks could be back in the playoffs.
So…they brought everyone back,who couldn't make t the playoffs?.
he didn't quit, his contract was up
