I don't think most NFL players have to deal with much fame if they don't want to, unless your a star QB or pro bowler, they wear helmets most of the time, and very few people could or would recognize like the Right Tackle for the Lions for instance. That's mostly just an NBA thing in my opinion and a few baseball teams and the Leafs.

Look, I’m not going to disagree with what was said. It was time, and I’ll be honest, even if we won the cup, I don’t think you stop Marner from walking. But I feel like this last season was the only season I watched the leafs and thought it was close. More close than we are admitting. It came down to one game, one goal. If we had scored the overtime winner in game 3, I think we win the cup. I don’t think Florida claws it back, and based on their performances I don’t believe Carolina or Edmonton beat us. Hell, if Bennett doesn’t take out Stolarz in game 1, I think we win the series.
So I’m going to disagree with yall on that one. I think the leafs are close, and what got us close wasn’t Mitch Marner. It was our defence and goaltending changes, all of which are staying the same. We play our cards right, we have a real chance at the cup. Brad uses that $5M+ of cap space we have right now to sign a top 6 right winger we are doing alright I think. Also this season will come down to Matthews. If he comes back in last years form, without Marner? We’re toast. If he comes back as the player he was 2 years ago. We’re good.

Mitch just admitted he wasn’t good enough. “I need to play where they can win for me” says it all.
He knows he’s not that guy. He’s not that good. I can find respect in me for that since he’s finally coming clean about his limitations.
Marner is just a guy that thinks he's better than everyone. He doesn't want any fans around because they're beneath him. He's about himself.
Is marner that trully special? For how much coverage he gets you would think that him going to a team launches them to stanley cup favorite

Thank god Marner is gone the cancer he truely is, is now Vegas's problem. This man is so over rated. It's easy to get a 100 point year in pond hockey ( which is what the NHL regular season is ) than to perform when it really counts and btw is real hockey. I have been begging the Leafs to trade this guy for years not only the last 2. He is selfish only cares about money, he will never be a player that deserves to wear 93 on his back what a joke that he compares himself to Gilmour. Remember the first Boston series he gets a small check from Chara and he packed up his tent and left. I would love to see his stats Steve on games 3 on in any series go look he stunk. Marner is for Marner that's it good riddens Marner. People also who threw trash and that sort of stuff are not true fans they are just dumb asses. Vegas good luck in winning a cup for the next 8 years if you count on Marner.
