Seguin wishes he had that kind of release
I know hes on pace for over 30 so far this season but it just doesnt seem like hes scoring as much as he did last season…

@EberleFan14 actually kessel is just as young as seguin and is better, when they pick up a centerman to play with kessel they will be competitive and they dont need to worry about next years pick because they will not be in the bottom 5

(altho the jeff finger deal was like WTF?) i can see Burke thinking and knowing that we need a 30 goal scorer NOW, like this season and the next. if we took the draft pick, like Seguin as example, its gonna take 2 or 3 years for Seguin to score 30+ goals, Kessel can and has scored 30. now.

People still don't understand the Kessel trade..would you trade Kessel for Seguin right now? no, does Kessel make Toronto a better team right now than Seguin would? yes..I take a proven 40 goal scorer than a #2 overall pick and a 10th overall pick in a weak draft any day of the week…not to mention how Burke fleeced Calgary in the Phaneuf trade and got a 16th overall pick (Colborne) from boston for Kaberle, and dumped Blake (5 mil, 14 goals) and Toskala (not in nhl)

See, if we drafted Seguin instead of trading for Kessel, we would get a developing player who would put up about 30 points. (22 for Boston this year). Phil is already a developed player and fits perfectly. He had another amazing goal scoring year, and I doubt Seguin would get 32 goals if he was with the leafs. Brian Burke is a smart man, I swear he can see into the future

uh huh…and the Leafs are gonna be in the playoffs by the time Seguin would've helped the team at all. And the reason for that is, in part, Burke's acquisition of Kessel. Not to mention that it remains to be seen what Seguin can really do. A few good games in the playoffs doesn't prove his abilities.

Bruins got absolutely robbed in that deal, Seguin is not even close to the player Kessel is and never will be and the Bruins traded him for a player who is far worse than either Kessel or Seguin in Erikson.
