  1. Appleton sounds like a Kris Draper comp. He also missed open nets and breakaway chances. If thats the case then it's a nice addition to the 4th line.

  2. I will agree that they need another top 4 D and top 6 forward. Hope Gibson steals 5-6 games, then in the playoffs. Wings are a good team. In fact, Detroit beat Florida 2 out of 3 last season. In the lost Detroit had 6-7 great chances , where Florida had 2-3. Florida got lucky, but they created some chances by just shooting the puck.
Really, all they need is current players to step up. There is no Pavel, Zetterburg, Lindstrom coming this year.
Better then the Panthers in a parity league in a non destination city. Arm chair quarterbacks can suggest their delusional signings or trades but no moves are happening unless Detroit gives up their best and bright stars and, or draft picks.

  3. A real conversation about the state of the Wings. The highlight to be emphasized is Yzerman's seemingly unwillingness to trade any of our "good" players for what most would consider an upgrade. Every team, and fact check me I encourage you, EVERY team that has made real progress does it. But again, Yzerman missed his FA opportunities in a thin market this year.

  4. It’s frustrating to not to see our first and second line not complete- bottom like they should for the most part be able to switch players from lines one and two! Raymond has a few bad games put him on second line for a game or two – hockey has always been the sport where you gotta least in Detroit earn your spot but untill we are that team again getting the defense and most to all top two lines another player I see us having allot highs and lows but with the new coach we may see some diff stuff – I and really hope that Larkin cat – mo Raymond list goes on are training to take another step not just stay the same – Larkin was one of the best all around players on USA last year so get him a player they have if they wait 2/4 years who knows – and as for the Vegas golden knights – that team is a.bunch. Of cheaters in my eyes the no expansion team should ever be that good off rip – unless it’s a city change but Vegas was brand new and now doesn’t seek like they see fit to miss the playoffs for a long time

  5. Finally someone gets what I was saying about Berggy making more than Soder is absolutely mind boggling!
