  1. I liked DeAngelo with the Hurricanes. Always felt like he should've been a winger tbh. He's really good on the powerplay and when in the offensive zone. His ability to skate and puckhandle is very very good. When he's with a coach who can handle his attitude and keep him disciplined, he's very effective

  2. Just correcting Adam, Lou signed Palmieri and Boqvist (not Cizikas). The Boqvist contract is a cheap whatever deal and the Palmieri deal was a discount.

Signing your own kid to an extension when the kid blows chunks is another story

  3. Masterclass and its just lucking into the first overall pick from 12 spots down the board when you just so happen to be labeled uninteresting and boring the YEAR before you build a new stadium

  4. You can’t get the 1st overall back to back years. It’s against the rules of the NHL. If a team does win the lottery back to back years, the best they can get is third overall I believe.

  5. 2 things.
    1. Darche is working on two timelines. One is Working on getting the core of Sorokin, Barzal, Horvat, etc. the best team he can. And the second is building and developing the wave of excellent young prospects.
    2. IF THE ISLANDERS DONT RESIGN THE GATBOMB IM RIOTING

  6. Dobson is a soft player and his 12 power play points and -16 last season and nowhere near worth $9.5 million per year. Roy had so little confidence in Dobson on the PP he had Boqvist in front of him at the end of the season. Buh bye!

  7. I seem to remember Tony DeAngelo was going to be signed to the Bruins and there was a revolt against it from the Bruins dressing room that noped it. Saying Tony has a history is kind of an understatement for a guy whose character was so bad he had to play in the KHL.

  8. Wouldn’t put them in ducks/ sharks cat. They have a solidified core that has had success, with an elite goalie. Ducks/ sharks don’t have that. They’ll win soon

  9. I am biased as a fan, but the Isles are not a terrible hockey team. Retooling? Sure. Competitive? Yes. Stanley Cup? No. Terrible? No team with Sorokin will be terrible.
