Disappointed with the start of free agency so far. Mike and the team knew the draft and FA would be light with talent, so why were we not more active with trades? Rather trade draft picks for legit talent at the NHL level. To not even go after Marner is also disappointing. I donāt want to hear about windows. We need to start winning now.
I knew the team was going to remain bad but I guess it could be bottom 3 again which is a little worse than I thought.
Mikeās only choice might be to prepare to tank again for McKenna considering the weak market. And then maybe start spending serious money a year from now.
I appreciate that the Sharks picked a lane and have been all in on the tank the past several years. I like the young players and trust the process but was hoping that they would be much improved next season. It unfortunately looks like it may be another rough season.
