I can’t believe that this is what it’s come to. Brother, I feel for you and all Kings fans out there.
Starting to see a scary trend. It appears that top tier players are avoidng the Kings and current players want to leave. Spence and Gav couldn't wait to leave. Marner never even considered coming here. Not sure if it is related to the cost of living here and the state imcome tax or is it related to probelms in the organization driving players away, or maybe a combination of both?
I mean ….just what if the kings make the post season , and these slow BIG veterans TCB became forwards are playing two way Kings hockey , and they muscle through a few rounds ! ITS CERTAINLY NOT IMPOSSIBLE! Improbable? , maybe ….HOWEVER it hasn’t happened yet and we just don’t know …what if holland looks like genius this time next year ?
I’m willing to be positive and say Ken is 69 he’s been around , he coulda retired , he doesn’t have to make a move just make a move , and he believes he can win with this and whatever else is inshore between now and the trade deadline . I’ll wait and see , I am excited though , and it’s a great locker room , maybe it will be even better , and for instance even if Spence may be better ,, what if he doesn’t believe, and these guys just pound the opposition?
And you wonder why players don’t want to come to Los Angeles. The fans 💩on the player before he even puts on a Kings jersey. You can’t say it’s the worst contract signed this year until we see his play and production this coming season.
And Doughty should not be on the 1st pairing. He needs to be on the 2nd pairing if not the 3rd. I’m hoping to see
1. Anderson/Dumoulin
2. Clarke/Cici
3. Edmondson/Doughty
The Ceci contract is beyond belief….and I fear Perry will be another PLD in the locker room. He's just NOT a character guy, like the rest of the team. Holland makes me lament for Blake's departure. #BadStart
Vegas should get a little better with the marner addition.. Other than that, who in the west got better? We had the 2nd best GAA, 105 points and had the best home record.. Did we get better? We got deeper which is gonna lead to better results in April
Simply put, the contract is terrible. As far as the player he is, he should fit in to the KIngs defensive system, but he is very slow like Edmondson. However, unlike Edmondson, he also does not have a great shot or puck moving skills. So in a nutshell, he will bring slowness and some physical toughness which helps and he is a pretty good penalty killer. Purely defensive and almost zero offensive skills. Definitely not worth the money he got but I am sure the tax reasons play a part in all 3 new contracts. Perry too. Way more than he should get but tax reasons once again. It sucks
To be honest with every one the same exact feelings about Joel Edmundson last year this time was the theme and I bought it too after listening to Eddie and Steve Dangle. Edmundson was a pleasant surprise in my opinion. Hopefully these new additions will work out for us but I honestly wasn’t very impressed with it especially when you account for the players that were lost. Holland is going to have to be a little more aggressive in the trade market for someone like Jonathan Marchessault or Jason Robertson or something like that in my opinion but I definitely think we need at least two to three young prospects to make some impact like we think Brandt Clarke or Alex Turcotte and Byfield to ascend to higher levels. Alex Laffrierre was amazing last year for us! Go kings go if Darcy Kuemper can repeat last year’s performance than we are definitely going back to the playoffs. I sure hope Coach Hiller learned from his mistakes in the Edmonton series too. Drew Doughty will have a great season!

That's why you're a podcaster not the GM, Holland and the Kings next year will make you swallow the throw-up in your mouth. You probably never even put on skates before, can't listen to you anymore. And people wonder how on earth the kings signed replacements.. .lol I'll gladly take a bigger body defenseman..some needs to keep the crease clear, and that someone just wasn't spence and his 5'9 frame
look on the bright side. this roster will get Kings a higher draft pick. Once they have it, they can trade down and perhaps get a fourth rounder as a bonus. Why take one player when you can trade down and get two or three players. buy one, get one free.
Cody Ceci was not the worst contract. Let's see what happens. Jenot contract had to be the worst. Still think Kings have a solid defense. . Edmundson outperformed last year after everyone complained. Kings are just missing one star forward.
Cody Ceci as you know played in Edmonton. He also played in Dallas and was a walked by the oilers. Big mistake signing him. When he played in Edmonton I couldn't wait till he was gone

People that think that Hiller is going to play Ceci on the third pairing, I've got news for you…he's going to neuter Clarke's minutes. This is the same guy who played 11/7 for the majority of last season. Then basically only played two pairings in the playoffs with Spence and Clarke's minutes dwindling.
I like Ceci.. he has played on many teams and was an unassuming steady presence in Oilers Cup run a year ago.

So I moved from LA to Dallas I saw the whole playoff run this last season in person for the home games and people are over exaggerating the hell out of Ceci. He played his two best playoff games in the two games that really mattered game 7 against Colorado and game 6 against the Jets. The whole Stars defense was bad against the Oilers but their were guys like Harley/Lindell that were way worse than Ceci. He’s going to be better in a defensive system like the Kings have the Oilers/Stars are def no where near defensively structured like the Kings are. Everyone was crying about Edmonson last year and he turned out to be really good obviously because of the structure. The contract is interesting but people making Ceci out like he’s a horrible defenseman is really pushing it
