   Eklund is a small soft Sweeden who much like lekk won't stick in the mhl if he's not scoring, and in a weak draft I would be scared shitless of fake upside. They made a great pick unless they planned to move up or down

   Braeden Cootes is ready to prove you wrong. It wasn't just the Canucks passing on Eklund at the draft. Cootes is a good kid and I'd be happy if he ends up replacing Pius Suter.

    Where Cams philosophy is flawed is there's a reason he fell in the draft. Its the same reason Lekkerimaki fell. The position of winger is easier to acquire than a right hand defenceman and a right shot centre. Cootes and Eklund are in the sale tier and if that's the case you always take to more rare position. Cootes wasn't a reach.

    Remember Bo Horvat. He was slow, couldn’t skate, lower upside ceiling but had leadership safe pick. The pick after him was nicushkin. A Euro scorer with more upside Doesn’t this sound familiar
