Congrats to all these players drafted by the Leafs. Respect!
Amazing to hear that Matthews, Tavares, and Nylander reached out to them
Hailey is such a pro.
As much as people hate Marner.. it's going to affect the regular season big time.. I wouldn't be surprised if the leafs struggle to make the playoffs
Nansi looked extremely nervous
Hailey seems awesome
Please, shut up about Marner, he is gone, he was a cancer in the room, Leafs will be better off without him!!!
Hayley needs to go, we need DAWGS
Hope to see fellinger in the big barn someday! Lets fucking gooo!!!!
Some Toronto fans exhibit peculiar behavior, especially when the team faces playoff losses. Prior to these defeats, suggestions for improvements often arise, but fans readily criticize these ideas. However, once the team finally loses, many voice their frustrations, often labeling the decision-makers as shortsighted individuals who failed to anticipate necessary changes in a timely manner.
For instance, when there were calls to dismiss Dubas a few years ago, some fans rallied to defend him. Ultimately, after he had significantly weakened the team, many came to accept that his departure was warranted. Similarly, there were recommendations to trade Mitch two years ago, but fans dismissed this notion, questioning who could replace his 100-point production. Now that he has left, the team faces new challenges.
Currently, the situation with Morgan is also critical. While Morgan is considered a competent player, he is not performing on the first power play unit. The team needs a defenseman with a powerful shot to enhance their power play. Furthermore, the salary cap constraints complicate matters. The team cannot afford to retain a FINE defender with a $7.5 million salary while today 2/7 the team only having $5 million in cap space remaining. Even if they trade away players 19 and 64, they will still require additional cap space to restructure the team effectively. I like Morgan however business is business
The key for this off season is to find a way to persuade Morgan for a trade otherwise Tree need to decide should he buy him otherwise he should play hard ball with Morgan because this dumb Dubas had given him a no trade which cost the team in such a vulnerable position however business is business can’t run the team as a charity, Tree you can’t be a nice man at this stage, as our GM is required you to act tuff accordingly to resolve this mess. Otherwise if they repeat Mitch mistakes to react the issues too late then not only the team will suffer, Tree might also be fire.
My definition of too late is every single GM have zero interest in Morgan, today there are still GM out there believes the problem is Toronto not the player Morgan, a change of scenery will help his play. Don’t wait Tree act quickly to trade Morgan , even being nasty to him ,you have no choice Dubas had tie your hands.
Man, some of the questions the media ask… Woof!! 🤷🤯🤦🤦
For me to hear are young youth athletes to be so happy and smiling on your faces and talking about so happy being a leaf member and I also be drafted on TV to see their face is putting on a jersey every year. I get so excited watching the draft, it is sometimes for me more beautiful than the playoff to be honest with youall these kids I don’t know but just to see their faces so happy that they know they are Toronto Maple Leafs now it’s beautiful to see.
Shout out to Korah Collegiate. I went there in 2000
The leafs are incredibly lucky to have Wickenheiser on staff. Having a former elite level player who also happens to be a doctor, as your AGM -Player Development is an advantage.
Hopkins is gona be something
A whole lotta PASSION
How about adding some OLD TIME HOCKEY GRIT to the LINEUP?
Rylan Fellinger must be on cloud nine. You're in high school and you get drafted by the Leafs. What a trip. Probably a dream come true for any Leafs hockey fan.
I come over from the UK to watch the Leafs every season and that's the one thing I always find – everyone is SO welcoming! Pretty much every single one of these guys has said the same. It may not be (on ice) Ice Hockley related but it's a MASSIVE part in helping these players' development. GLG.
