I think get a new goalie coach and see how it goes in training camp. No idea how the roster will look come the start of the season until we can see these guys in game situations.
The proplem in goal isn't the Pickard as backup on a $1M AAV.
What do they have against Pickard? Arguably more consistent than Skinner.

I understand that the Oilers have to keep Skinner for now because of his age and upside! Why would the Oilers move on from Pickard unless they can trade even up for a younger NHL goalie with good upside!? Oilers need to be prudent before moving on from Pickard! He's a battler on the ice and apparently he's a great team mate ,good leader and great in the locker room!

Am liking Devon Dubey's take today that it only makes sense to move Picard if you actually upgrade to a starter-level goalie (ie- like Gibson, but too late for that now) who can push and compete with Stu for #1 starter position
Otherwise, after what Picard did in the playoffs – other than his terrible cup finals game – what more can you want in a backup.
The problem is to get a starter-level goalie how are you going to acquire him without giving up Stu.
20 million in first 2 defenseman. Picard is a valuable contract and has been a great team player. New goalie coach may get better results. Goalies hung out to dry by brain lapsing defense yet one gets a big contract. Strange times.
Really the Oilers management has done nothing to improve this team for next season,I hope they're not seriously expecting different results based on what they've done so far.If anything they've gotten worse.Losing Perry,Kane and Brown was stupid.
