Being smaller shouldn't be a problem if you perform. It becomes a problem for a team when you have too much of smaller player because despite you can't be "tough", you can't complete with 6+ feet tall player when you are 5 feet 7. May be a team can afford having 2, may be 3 of them, not on the same line, but more than that, you will get dominated by bigger teams (you just have to look at the Florida Panthers and the way they are playing).
So now, would you take it in the habs roster ? That's the real question. At this point, it's not a matter of skill, but rather if we can play the game with tougher opponents.

Yes, a guy that is undersized. Has barely produced in the USHL. Guys a steal… right. If his cousin isn't Logan Cooley. He's probably not getting drafted. You guys are on crack.!
If we traded into let's say 31st and took Mooney I would have understood that…Cullen Potter and L.J Mooney were 2 of the guys I saw going in the late 1st/early 2nd but could become sort of steals..So I loved Potter for Calgary at 32nd but Mooney at 113th seems actually unfathomable..
It is complete deja vu of Hutson for me, had Hutson in my top 15 went 62nd
had Mooney is my top 32 went 113th and both times I had just assumed they had already went and was jumping up and down when Montreal took them…GMs really don't learn eh.
I appreciate that a 5'7" forward is not afraid to get into people's grills. Unfortunately, the 6'3" guy won't be afraid of going through his grill and blowing it up. We need bigger dudes. We have enough small guys.
