  1. This one hurt (losing Sissons), maybe more than it should have. I won’t pretend to be an expert by any means because I’ve only been a hockey fan for a few years and following the Preds that whole time. To see this Sissons trade go down the way it did just blew my mind. Not only our versatile Mr. Potato Head of the team but someone so active in the Preds Foundation and community and to be traded away as a 2 for 1 like he is just sloppy scraps by a team he had dedicated so much time and energy to just seems so sorted and dirty to me. Apparently I was stupid and naive to think we would at least have him for one more season to finish out his contract. Make it make sense to me ladies! Please assure me this is a good thing for both Sissons and for the Preds.

  2. Ty for reporting, Emma. At least this trade makes some logical sense when I try to understand what Barry is doing. I will not pretend I understand most of it. Nick is younger, he got the size, he will bolster our D which when finishing last season looked like a swiss cheese. I am a bit worried about Nic’s speed, though. Allright, never wrong with a defensive D, hope Nic likes it in Nashville

  3. The addition of both Hague and Perbix I feel are smart. Somthing that was a bit concerning was the change of scenery for Stamkos and Marshesault and bringing in a couple of former teammates might just help them get more comfortable and create better play on the ice.

  4. I bet Svechkov pops off. Not that that will be enough to save the team on its own, but it will make our c depth look a little less shallow than were expecting

  5. Throwback to when emma was talking about the perception of "bottom 6" players staying in "bottom 6" roles. We didn't utilize sissons, we don't utilize Smith.. etc. I hope he does well, he deserves it.

  7. It sure is a shame about Scissons. I thought he’d be a Preds lifer. I honestly think Trotz might be freeing up some space for these young boys coming up. I’m excited to see what we get into next season!

  8. Blues fan here. I do not mean to pile on top of a disappointing season but I struggle with understanding what happened. I mean on paper there is some real talent. A little on the older side but still should’ve produced better than they did. I can tell you Oreilly was the heart and soul in Stl and I’d assume he is here too. I dreaded facing this team two and three seasons ago. Is it chemistry with having new players? Effort? I find that hard to believe but don’t know. Anyway hope things go better this year but not too much better as I need my Blues to go deep this year. One thing you’ve got going. Emma has to be the most hockey smart and attractive host for any team. Build on that for next season!
