  1. I didn't know we go him and I knew nothing about him but what I see in these highlights I love and you don't often hear me say that.
He doesn't screw around he shoots and he LOOKS/aims his shots AND he gets into the slot where he should be so not a soft perimeter player.I would absolutely insert him into the lineup right away.
The problem is the habs have nobody at center to be a setup guy so he would need to be on the first line to get the most out of him.IMO he could easily be a 30 goal score on the first line way better than bumkovsky.

  2. I am actually shocked e got this guy IDK why St.L didn't keep him he has the look of the exact type of player I want on my team.My assumption is that these good looks are becuase he is on the PP with high end players like Thomas and typically he was not utilized properly playing with bums.So if MTL sends him to laval he might be invisible he needs to play with good quality players.

  3. Ok as soon as I left this video I see why we got him lol we gave up Mailloux that is a very tough give but I understand why there is just no room in the lineup for Mailloux and imo he will be sadly missed especially in laval.Like if Laval loses Logan and Reinbacher makes the team that is going to set Laval WAY back WAY WAY back.

  4. I was disappointed to lose Heineman and the possibility of drafting Carbonneau… but I am now ok after this trade ( I am actually pretty excited). If Dach can really become a top 6 player (ideally a 2C), we will be "en voiture, comme qu'on dit".

  5. 3:20 he’s going in on a breakaway and the play-by-play guy is still blathering on about something completely unrelated to what is happening on the ice. Horrible. That is my biggest pet peeve as a fan

  6. Mostly pp goals , dont see him takin laine nore cauffields spot as shooter on pp , he had a 16% shooting percentage its not sustainable. Unfortunatly this is a real bad trade for mtl.. mailiux will be playing 20mins a night for the next 12 years. Another sergachev for drouin trade

  7. we've seen Demidov make numerous genius passes to the bumper… that duo is gonna do some damage.

  8. Wow Montreal is finally going to have two powerplay units with legitimate chances to score:

    Slafkovsky
    Caufield – Suzuki – Demidov
    Hutson

    Dach
    Laine – Bolduc – Newhook
    Dobson

  9. We needed someone who can play and add some hitting I think he’ll for the young core great

  10. I like that he gets rid of the puck quickly. Nice one timers. Habs need someone who can check & shoot. Decent speed too.

  11. I hate thinking in linear fashion, thinking what worked last year is what is necessary to keep going with.

    So here's my PP1 & PP2 proposal:

    PP1:

Laine – Bolduc – Demidov, Suzuki + Hutson. Suzuki plays more like a rover with Bolduc in that bumper, Laine & Demi on the boards.

    PP2:

Caufield – Dach – Slavkovsky, Matheson + Dobson. Heavy net presence with bombs from the point a la Dobson. Caufield there to snipe the garbage, Matheson has good PP experience. I'd swap in Newhook for either Dach or Matheson, with Matheson's position switching to something similar to Suzuki's in a rover position, instead Newhook being that rover. His speed being the best asset for this deployment.
