1 yr for 1 million vs the cap is unbelievable. After seeing the crazy blueline deals by guys marginally better…or not (Klinburg!)-I figured we must have signed Burns for 2.5 or 3 million on 1 yr. Granted he can make up to 3 million on incentives but against the cap is all that matters. Guys like Dumilin,& Ceci…even Lindgren. Id probably rather have Lindgren next yr straight up over Burns but 1 yr for 1 million vs 4 yrs for 18…R U FING KIDDING ME! LA paid insane $,& term for 2 guys that are like decent #5ish guys in my mind. Avs are being very smart,& patient. Id have brough back Drouin but only for 2 yrs at 5 or 6 million max. Lindgren for maybe 2 yrs 6 or 7 million MAX. But id be pissed if we matched those deals. Even Nelson-I was very happy we resigned him especially at only 3 yrs. But i also thought we maybe overpaid a bit. TURNS OUT WE PROBABLY GOT A DEAL ON $ ALSO! Granlund at 34 yrs old,& an inferior player to Nelson (& 3C,not 2C)-signs for 21 over 3 yrs. Im think Brock could've easily got 4 yrs for 8 or 8.5 per at least now. Hell im fine with the trade,& especially dumping Wood but just over 5 million for Coyle at 3C isnt sounding as bad now. It still seems high to me but not exorbitant like i thought it was a week ago. At least hes an above average 3C…how much better is Granlund than him? To me Granlund is above average 3C,& not good enough for 2C-especially on a contender-JUST LIKE COYLE! Except Granlund is now even more obscenely overpaid at 3C!
