Part of the reason he never won a Stanley Cup is that he never showed up during the playoffs. Granted, others didn't either. But he has no excuse now. Vegas has to win one before the Leafs do. And I don't think that will happen. But he'll get them into the playoffs… Now lets see what the Leafs do with those draft picks they get after Vegas gets nailed for tampering.
I hope he gets booed when he plays in Toronto next.
Marner got scared, could not handle it poor baby! Decided to go to a team with no pressure to perform. He can choke some where else know. He got his money but never earned it.
He hated it here. Pure and simple. The only thing keeping him sane was his family and Matthews. I personally think he and Nylander had beef between them as well. I don't think I ever saw him smile on camera. Can't blame him wholly; the media could be rough. But you still have to be professional. Have to admit, it's a completely different Mitch I saw wearing that gold jersey. Good luck to Mitch and his family – I seriously think he's going to need it.
