The Ducks’ two 2024 first-round picks, Beckett Sennecke (No. 3) and Stian Solberg (No. 23) talk about their improvement over eventful 2024-25 seasons and open up about their preparation for Anaheim’s NHL camp in the fall.
Sennecke tore it up in OHL Oshawa last season, and despite not cracking the Canadian World Junior roster, showed that he’s ready for a next step. However, due to NHL-CHL restrictions, he can only stay on either the Ducks’ roster or be sent back to junior, not to AHL San Diego. Is he ready to take an NHL spot?
Solberg was playing in the top pro level in Sweden last season, but after rumors of cut playing time, the Ducks brought him over to North America to finish the season in AHL San Diego. Solberg shined at the IIHF World Championships for Norway, but with a loaded Ducks defensive corps, can he continue to impress enough to battle for an NHL slot?
