Not certain it is that great, Dach and Newhook didn’t work out after they didn’t work out with their original team. Bolduc is not second center level.
Robbed the Blues? Not really 😂. Mailloux got a lot of potential if he can works on his defensive game. I have the growing feeling that Demidov gonna start the year with Laine and Dach….
I think there was just no way mailloux was going to play for the habs, bad press, old regime player, he has the tool but his hockey IQ was in question, zach bolduc has high upside and has already proven himself in the nhl.
4th line winger doesn't help us much
Bolduc had a 16% shooting percentage last year , which is not sustainable …. its a really bad trade for montreal , mailoux is 10x better player. Wrong dman to trade , wrong forward to trade for

How is it robbery? Logan Mailloux was the only physical d man the habs had in the prospects pools I’m guessing the habs defence won’t get any hits for years to come ! Don’t like the trade at all!!!
Laine still needs to learn how to complete a pass. Couldn't complete one last year so hopefully he works on it.
Mailloux lacks the acceleration to consistently avoid the forecheck at the AHL level. He will be totally exploited in the NHL. St. Louis didn't do their due diligence about Mailloux. Frankly, any value that Hughes received for this overrated player was a win.
Good for Mailloux. He was under the microscope here. Now he is going to a team that wants him, and the microscope is gone. Fresh start. And good luck to him.

WE REALY NEED A SECOND CENTRE, but i think we are too late. It was a small GROUP anyway and the best players made there choice already. But i am happy with the deals they made the last days…..GO HABS GO!!!!!!🟥⚪🟦

They replaced Emil Heineman basically. They gave Mailloux for that so in the end mailloux for emil Heineman sort of speak

I wanted us to trade Mailloux in a package for a center, not for a third-line winger. Mailloux was one of our best assets. Now we are stuck with a struggling Dach for the third year in a row as our second center. He’s starting to feel like our version of Drouin, with people still saying to give him a chance in his eighth year in the NHL. ( Dach is in his 6th year in the NHL already ! )
Bolduc on the second line or third.
To summarize, imo. I love both trades. I'm not going to nitpick every aspect in order to find something I don't like. And I can't wait for next season.

This trade absolutely sucks. You guys are crazy. Mailloux value was way higher than a middle 6 winger that is not big and not a center.
Big RH D with a bomb and good skating and physicality don't grow on trees just like Centers.
Past lost top D Sergachev and McDonough say hello. Mailloux joins the list now.
What a bad day, terrible job by Management this off season so far. We have zero physical RH D now. All pussies.

Adding good players is always good. The middle of the lineup after Suzuki still looks like a big issue though: Dach, Evans, Kapanen? Evans in a checking role is good, but who’s the threat at 2C? I still think Newhook is actually our best option….
