McDavid walks next year.
The Oilers mgmt are failing the challenge Connor gave them at his year end presser.
I think a lot of fans need to take a deeper look at players that are already a part of the organisation, as in the pool of young prospects and experienced professional players they have signed playing oversees. Given what they already have available, the Oilers don't need to do a lot acquisition wise to check off the boxes of improving, and getting faster and younger. They have a glut of potential talent waiting in the wings at just about every position, including Matthew Savoie, David Tomรกลกek, Atro Leppรคnen, Samuel Jonsson, Sam OโReilly, Maxim Beryozkin, Roby Jรคrventie, Quinn Hutson, Josh Samanski, Phil Kemp, just to name a few. The team is in so much better shape than a lot of people seem to realise. I have no doubt that a few of these guys will be a major part of the team in 25/26, and they are going to shock the hell out of a lot of people. Sure, adding an elite offensive forward (and a couple other pieces would be great), but the Oilers are going to have a new look and are going to be a much improved team over this past season, mark my words.
WTF…..lame. Great playoff run but not happy w his signing as a LAK's fan. Check back w me if we make the playoffs and playoff Perry shows up.

Big mistake Edmonton Oilers big mistake. You should have signed him year to year.
Maybe this is the thing that breaks the curse? Kings grabbed Penner from the Ducks in 2012 and won their first cup. Perry won a cup playing for a California team. Who knows? Weโll find out come next spring.
perry was a very good foward depth piece for the oilers.
