  1. Oh wow that must be the hugest relief for Canucks fans in a long time.
Man did that fan base ever need SOMETHING like this.
I could feel the massive collective exhale from the east coast!

  2. I still can't believe they traded for Kane and are letting Suter go. At least they managed to keep Boeser.

  3. This and the Demko contacts are among the worst signed since loui Eriksson. They are not what the team needs.

  4. I think it is important that players want to be where they're at. Brock, for all the criticism he takes, warranted or unwarranted, is a top 6 forward could have got probably in the double digits for a cap hit if he went to market. Someone would have offered him $10 million per. That's how crazy the market is – again. But given the emotion he showed at the possibility of not coming back to Vancouver, for a guy everyone thought wanted to go home to Mini, clearly told his agent to within reason get something done. The Canucks bent on the term, and Brock bent on cap hit and salary. It's important that you have players who want to be with their teams and they're not just collecting a paycheque. He's been through some tough seasons and lost some friends and former teammates over the years, and he still really wanted to be a Canuck and play for us fans. Yes, they still need a 2nd line centre, ideally. But when you have a 25 goal 50 point guy who is capable of more like Brock and he really wants to be here (just watch his exit interview – he was almost in tears), you try to find a way to get it done and they did. Brock Boeser is a Canuck. Like so many other guys who you can only see wearing one jersey.

  5. I hope they re-sign Suter. They would need to keep Joshua. In my opinion they could make room by moving Blueger.

  6. Dakota Joshua is much better than a 4th line. He is a middle 6 guy when he is healthy (at least in his pre-cancer year).

  7. You got it Steve, D-Petey for 25, Petey for 40 & Marcus Pettersson for 29. We love them all. EXTREMELY happy for the Boeser deal, I just wish they can find a way to keep Suter as well.

  8. I would worry less about the second line centers 2 minutes more of playing time vs my 3 and 4 when Quinn Hughs is on the ice.
As long as those guys win faceoff and shutdown the opposing teams pivot.
    Different role than most teams.

  9. Should have signed with the Leafs. We could have offered him more salary and an opportunity to chase a cup!!!

  10. This guy is soft and only was a olu s layer because of JT Miller. – 25 last year. he is a minus player every year. Is this the worst Canucks management since the 90s? I don't get the plan. Two goalies making bank. Middle picks forever….
