Joshua gets a pass. He had cancer
Best Canada Day ever
I’m super happy as a Canucks fan
Oh wow that must be the hugest relief for Canucks fans in a long time.
Man did that fan base ever need SOMETHING like this.
I could feel the massive collective exhale from the east coast!
I am very happy.
I'm ready to be hurt again.
He didn't want to go to Anti Canadian NAZI voting USA. Good for him. A Win for Canucks.
Happy Canada Day! All three American Canuck players re-signed to stay in Canada!
I'm so happy about this! Thought he was gone for sure!
MY CLIENT!!!… BRRRRROCK BOOOESER!!!
Allvin magic
as a canucks fan i'm planning the parade!
What canuck fan said he was just in it for the money?
Finally did something right
I still can't believe they traded for Kane and are letting Suter go. At least they managed to keep Boeser.
Boeser at $7.25 is one of the extremely rare exact fair market value contracts in the league currently. Wow
This and the Demko contacts are among the worst signed since loui Eriksson. They are not what the team needs.
Looks like the Canucks can sign better than Kyle and shanahan ever did
These boys know the Canucks pretty well. Kudos to Jesse, Steve and Adam.
boeser and pettey still canucks and frank serivelli still a lair.
I think it is important that players want to be where they're at. Brock, for all the criticism he takes, warranted or unwarranted, is a top 6 forward could have got probably in the double digits for a cap hit if he went to market. Someone would have offered him $10 million per. That's how crazy the market is – again. But given the emotion he showed at the possibility of not coming back to Vancouver, for a guy everyone thought wanted to go home to Mini, clearly told his agent to within reason get something done. The Canucks bent on the term, and Brock bent on cap hit and salary. It's important that you have players who want to be with their teams and they're not just collecting a paycheque. He's been through some tough seasons and lost some friends and former teammates over the years, and he still really wanted to be a Canuck and play for us fans. Yes, they still need a 2nd line centre, ideally. But when you have a 25 goal 50 point guy who is capable of more like Brock and he really wants to be here (just watch his exit interview – he was almost in tears), you try to find a way to get it done and they did. Brock Boeser is a Canuck. Like so many other guys who you can only see wearing one jersey.
Garland is the engine of the 3rd line with Joshua, I highly doubt they trade him as they'd bet he bounces back
I hope they re-sign Suter. They would need to keep Joshua. In my opinion they could make room by moving Blueger.
Dakota Joshua is much better than a 4th line. He is a middle 6 guy when he is healthy (at least in his pre-cancer year).
I did not expect that lmao
Simply the Boest
I think Hoglander at $3 mil might be the odd man out. Suter brings more flexibility.
You got it Steve, D-Petey for 25, Petey for 40 & Marcus Pettersson for 29. We love them all. EXTREMELY happy for the Boeser deal, I just wish they can find a way to keep Suter as well.
I would worry less about the second line centers 2 minutes more of playing time vs my 3 and 4 when Quinn Hughs is on the ice.
As long as those guys win faceoff and shutdown the opposing teams pivot.
Different role than most teams.
Should have signed with the Leafs. We could have offered him more salary and an opportunity to chase a cup!!!
Maybe they signed him to trade him.
To say Joshua was recovering from injury was an understatement, he was recovering from Cancer
HAPPY CANADA DAY CANUCKS FANS WOOO!!
I really, REALLY wanted Minnesota to find a way to get him. That's not happening now. Oh well.
What about an enforcer, or is Francesca's lawyer puckering up?
This guy is soft and only was a olu s layer because of JT Miller. – 25 last year. he is a minus player every year. Is this the worst Canucks management since the 90s? I don't get the plan. Two goalies making bank. Middle picks forever….
Boeser always said he wanted to stay.
Let’s go!
You think Kane will get along with #40?
Great breakdown fellas!
Jesse is a dense moron
Well done PA!
Lotta players taking discounts, my faith in humanity is restored.
The narrative all through the last few months is that everyone wants out and nobody wants to play here – wrong.
