  1. Dvorak got a lot because they only wanted a 1 year deal. And couple that with Foerster being injured for 3months. They needed someone reliable for one year until Luchanko + Martone join the club next year.

  2. weird thought, but Vladar and Fedotov are both MASSIVE goalies. Probably helps to be in a tandem/for the goalie coaches to be able to learn from each other and have a consistent approach. It's a big deal! Even two goalies as different as Jarry/DeSmith, Demko/Lankinen, Oettinger/Blackwood, even Fleury/Lehner years ago, they have to approach the position a little differently and the team has to adjust too.

  3. Flyers fan Here….

Any goaltending is a positive so Im okay with that deal.

Dvorak on 1 year deal is fine whether we flip him or not.

As for Morgan frost… I was sad to see him go but he wasn't progressing where you needed him too, same with farabee. Let them get fresh starts rather than cling to what we know isnt going to work

  4. Vladar’s numbers look bad because he took all the hard matches at the start of the season to ease Wolf into the NHL. He’s actually pretty good.

  5. Dvorak is a Tocchet guy. That’s why he’s the free agent center pickup. Salaries are inflated with the new cap numbers. Why so surprised? These signings are just stop gap guys anyway. šŸ’

  6. Frost inconsistency was terrible and you needed to include him to get rid of the farabee contract. That entire deal was to get of Farabees contract.

  7. It's a one year and a two year deal.. wtf is everyone worrying about.. these are short term contracts. Worry about your leafs falling apart

  8. Flyers can burn a retention spot at the deadline and flip him for a draft choice to a contender, this guy is great on faceoffs. You obviously have to overpay on a one year deal. Vladar on a 2 year deal is worth the risk.

  9. Dvorak is a smart draft pick play! They over pay to get him then come March hes traded with 50% retained

  10. Dvorak is great at faceoffs
Gets injured a lot , so if you need to use cap space and lose for draft position, works out

  11. They got rid of Frost bc he’s not apart of the future, has nothing to do with Torts. He’s just a guy, he’s a bust of a pick. Just time to move on

  12. Was literally walking with my friend last night talking about Dvorak hopefully leaving the Habs. HE GOT $5.4 MILLION?! I forgot how crazy some of the contracts handed out on July 1st are.

  13. Happy for Vladdy to get paid. He has been a constant professional in Calgary and even if hes not the greatest hes a solid guy to have back there in relief

  14. Well this video won’t age well (at least Adam’s takes won’t) — even if these deals don’t pan out, you are still lost in the bigger picture of it… the term is so low and these players act as stopgaps. Philly has nothing to lose here, and they don’t really need to gain much either. If they land Shabanov, this is a solid B+ free agency. Only way it could be an A is if Vladar/Dvorak contracts were a bit lower. But ultimately it is fine.
