Is Edzo claiming the player measurements at the combine aren’t accurate. Hagens isn’t 5’8”. Martone isn’t a center either.
Man , I wish this cat was in coaching !
Central Illinois Luv's you Eddie !
It is not just Bedard and Nazar that are undersized; many of the forwards in the Hawks' pipeline are also undersized. Speed needs size to retrieve the puck and create open ice. Size is needed in front of the net in the corners and to protect smaller players. It is time to draft for need as well as skill level. Teams are drafting for what a player will be, not what he is now. If a player is light years ahead and undersized, you take him. If there is a group of 5-6 with close to the same talent level, you draft for need. The work ethic, the injuries the mental makeup all matter.
Eddie… the game has passed you by ….how more years are going to say(when there is a 4 on 4 ) .. the forwards have the d and the d have the forwards… give it up and move on … stick to the horses …
ty for my winners in the classics Eddie, I immediately crossed off your picks.
Eddie is the best. So wish he was back doing the Hawks games.
The Hawks have plenty of young players, but a young roster tends to lose a lot of games. High level free agents will need to see this franchise on the upswing though, before they sign on for a chunk of their short NHL prime.
Porter Martone pls
free agents…they all want to go to a place that has a chance for the Cup, right now… Chicago is not that place…
