  1. I love the Martone pick! He was the best player available. We’ll wait and see about Nesbitt. Carter Amico is gonna be a bruiser.

  2. I think Amico said that he will be at development camp but he won’t be skating there. He will be ready for camp at University the week after.

  3. Two first round picks for a third line center possible 2nd line center. Or trade two first rounders for a really good NHL ready player right now, see Islanders and Dobson. This trade was a travesty and the Philly media refuses to hold Briere accountable. Awful

  4. Negadelphia . . . .it wouldn't have mattered who they picked, Flyers fans would still be belly aching

  5. Flyers mess up again. This team never learns. Turn 3 1st rounders into a repetitive Rw when their 2 best players already play RW and reach at center. Just terrible. This is why they miss the playoffs now 5 years in a row. Hextallitis still invests this organization. I have given up on this franchise. They don't understand what team construction is about. Still no 1c, 1d, or goalie in pipeline. NOw year 3 of this so called rebuild what a joke.

  6. I was super confused when I listened to this episode on Apple a little while ago and it was only 20 minutes long and cut off in the middle of Bill talking lol. Now it makes sense.

  7. The Flyers left talented players on the table with that trade at 12 espiecially a good defensemen, Im not very confidence about the young defensemen in the organisation

  8. Martone was a pleasant surprise. Definitely was BAP.
Nesbitt was back to the usual Flyers…..a complete waste of assets to reach for a player that certainly didnt have top 12 pedigree.
One step forward, two steps backwards per usual.

  9. So i hated the trade, thought it was terrible value for 2 1sts. But i like Nesbitt, just thought he was taken as a reach. I also loved the rest of the draft. Mortone was great value, and the seconds were all great picks. So am I just a hater? Or is that nuanced enough?

  10. ALWAYS go BPA with your top pick. ALWAYS. I wanted Hagens in the worst way, but that was with the assumption that Martone would already be off the board.

  11. The Flyers endless "rebuild" is simply continuing with the collection of "prospects" who are 3 to 4 years from playing in the AHL. This team/organisation is going nowhere in a hurry. The Flyers organisation should be sold to an owner who will actually improve this franchise, instead we are simply seeing an endless cycle of mistakes made by former players in management roles. Last place will continue to be theirs, yet they'll hype up their fans with more BS about a "new version of the new version of orange".

  12. TBH, many people feel the Nesbitt pick was a "Reach" as did I initially… But in reality it was not because "reach" means you could've gotten YOUR GUY if you stayed at 22 but there was lots of credible info that he wouldn't been there at 22. Second, many say they trading up to #12 was too high but they woulda been ok with it were #17ish… Well, you need TWO-2- TANGO and it is excruciatingly hard to trade up draft picks in the NHL so this may as well was there only shot to move up at all… And further it did not cost them that much to move up 10 lots (i.e. just the 31st) so once again tremendous value…

PET PEEVE PLEASSSSE stop saying we gave up TWO FIRSTS for Nesbitt because IN REALITY it was just giving up the 31st pick for him since they woulda drafted him at 22 if no trades happened and he was still avail… The connotation of TWO FIRSTS sounds like they mortgaged the farm for him when it was MERELY sacrificing the 31st pick!! An true example of giving up TWO FIRSTS for a player woulda been like the NOAH DOBSON trade …

  13. Maybe we could have flipped from 12 down to 13 or 14 if the draft format were normal but you’re only talking about like a 4th rounder for that and losing their guy wasn’t worth that extra bit of asset management

  14. Good show Jason as always…..heard Demko may resign if so Silov would be available thru trade what would it take to get him ??

  15. Jason, can you talk about the fact that no goalies were picked? Seems odd and risky. Relatively new listener from Maine, but originally from DELCO. The show is great. I find myself anxiously always waiting for the next one. Really helped fill a void during a tough 2024-2025 season.

  16. I feel very optimistic about our draft . 🤞🤞
I hope you are feeling well and am happy you got to enjoy the draft Jason . 🙏🙏🙏
    LETS GO FLYERS !! !!!
