There goes any chance of winning in Edmonton. Bennett and Marchand signed for less than Draisaitl. Ekblad 4.4 million less than Bouchard. McDavid should sign a 1 year deal at the league minimum and if they lose again McDavid should hit the road.

Oilers do not get to the second round next playoffs and it is up to McD to save the Oilers in 2026-27 IF he stays and IF the Oilers management gives him a team to win with. 2024-25 was a step back year for them and 2025-26 is going to be an even bigger step back year.
People constantly dunk on Bouchard for not being a great d man but he has the puck so damn often there are bound to be bad things. He makes some bad mistakes. He isn’t makar or even Toews but he scores a lot, has a bomb of a shot and he’s a great defenseman as well.
One of the best ways to add talent in this team while shedding cap is to get rid of Darnell nurse. There is no core 4, only 3

I'm an oilers fan and even I'm scratching my head on this one… I mean if you're going to give him the full 10.5 then why settle for only 4 years?
Bouchards deal would look a lot better for the team if it wasn't for the 10M$ wet blanket that is Darnell Nurse. Nurse doesn't deserve a dollar over 7M

Bouch pulls a PLD from CBJ once a game and its shocking that it doesn't matter if it's game 7 in October or GAME 7 in June he is taking that shift off. The Oilers window is closing fast if they can't make moves to actually improve.

Edmonton doesn't get discounts because it's a group of individuals. Florida is a group of guys who love playing together. That's culture vs individuals.
